I've been wanting a red away kit for years. I think we had a red goalie top once and it looked great with the badge. Danny's Potter and Naisbitt both wore red (amongst other colours) and it did look good, yes. Will always associate with Shaun Marshall.

Does anyone know about how this year’s infant/junior kits fit size wise?
Last year’s Hummel infant kits were big for their age/size are the Umbro ones too?
My son was bought last year’s 3-4 mini kit when he was 5 and it fit fine.
I want to buy him a kit now he is turning 6 but biggest infant size is 4-5 and smallest junior size is 7-8. Nothing for 6 year olds!

Nothing for 6 year olds! Go for the 7-8 and at least he'll grow into it. I always get my lad a size bigger or so than his age, one because he's quite tall for his age and two if it's a bit loose that's fine, you'll find it'll last a couple of seasons when if it's just for kicking a ball round the garden! I also find the Umbro kits are a tighter fit than Hummel were.

The theory on goalkeeper shirts is apparently two fold. One, as you say, bright colours make a goalie seem larger and more intimidating. The downside is the attacking player will always be able to see where the goalie is, even out of the corner of his eye. Duller colours bring a bit more camouflage and can 'hide' the keepers position. I suspect its much of a muchness in terms of gains really, particularly when you have a team that can't score with a banjo and seems happy to puke up silly goals at the other end. Andrew A statistical analysis for a TV show found that there is advantage to 'keepers playing in green and outfield players in red.

HOME Very safe, very nostalgic.
- really disliked Umbro's first attempt at amber. Hoping for a lot better (more yellowy).
AWAY Something probably that no one's ever seen before.
- ?
THIRD Tied to the city and its history and its heritage.
- hopefully a passing resemblance to the top half of medieval tunics that would have featured at Stirbiche Fair.

The obvious third kit would therefore be ‘Cambridge Blue’ perhaps? Have to say, I’m slightly concerned/excited by the ‘never seen before’ away kit.

Nostalgic home kit? Going back to white with amber/black trim then?

I wouldn't say no to amber and bleach halves, quarters or hoops, none though would be described as "safe".

I am sure the Home shirt will be ok as long as it's Amber and not Yellow - god forbid it encouraging us to Sing Yellows when we play Burton
