There is a sub-permutation where we lose by 3 goals but score more than Burton do in their draw (ie 4-1 + 0-0 or 5-2 + 1-1) in which we stay up on Goals For. Tbh I couldn’t be arsed factoring that in because if we lose by 3 goals we should be liquidated anyway.

12/1 for relegation now.
Burton 5/1
Cheltenham 1/8
Worth a saver bet now.

Anyone know what the odds were on us getting relegated going into the final day last season? I fancy Cheltenham to win at Stevenage (who have 1 win in 11) so it’s whether us or Burton slip up.
Also how costly those 6-0 and 4-0 capitulations look now. We’d be safe if we’d kept the score down in those games.

Or if we hadn’t been so shite against Cheltenham and given them 6 points or beaten 10 men Burton.

Turning one of the two 1-0 defeats to Cheltenham into a 0-0 draw would’ve done it. Imagine that. Wishing we got 1/6 points against that shower…

I realise Peterborough can do what they wish in terms of team selection, but will be really interested to see who they put out on Saturday. Seems mad to make so many changes with the play offs on their way. Assuming they play a weaker team on Saturday, it will be over 10 days between their last game at full strength and the play off first leg away at a team that will have strong momentum - whoever gets 5th (unless it's Barnsley which looks highly unlikely), will go in to the game on full pelt. I really think Boro will have lost momentum and will be surprised if they can get it back for that first leg. I am sure it will backfire.

What if we lose by 1 and the others win by a bigger scoreline? We have to get something on Saturday, no excuses. If we don't, then having not beaten Cheltenham and Burton this season, then failing to get something at an already relegated team...we deserve to go down

Well done to the fans this season, truly great support for a shite squad.Average of 6679 . An increase of 480 average league attendance, which is up almost 8% again this year, even to watch this drivel , is amazing and one of the best things about the whole season.

Yes what a bunch eh, so many lazy half hearted shows throughout the season, far too many players who clearly aren't L1 standard, and others who clearly are, but rarely show it. Oh well on to Saturday....

If we lose and they both win it doesn't matter the number of goals scored in any of the games, the result is relegation.
