Could definitely see that happening. Same tactics as Evans with the same squad of players, no big clear out needed to change the footballing style, therefore no big transfer spend, depending on contracts? Would probably keep them competitive next year to?

Would probably keep them competitive next year to? I've heard this could be announced tomorrow (from an unreliable source). If so, Bonner will likely ease up a bit on the dark arts, push the players a bit harder and maybe see them pick up more injuries. Not much difference, but the style will be more earnest.

He would also have a bigger budget to play with.

Bonner/Stevenage doesn’t seem the right fit for me. Good luck to him if it happens though, especially next Saturday. (Must admit I thought the original comments were referring to Ainsworth but probably mistaken)

Bonner's Stevenage saving us with a injury time equaliser v Cheltenham next Saturday sounds alright by me.

Bonner's Stevenage saving us with a injury time equaliser v Cheltenham next Saturday sounds alright by me. Only for Bonner to immediately resign saying "My work here is done".

Despite the absurd length of Darren Moore's contract a number of Port Vale fans seem to have a remarkable soft spot for Bonner.

Can't blame them, Moore is still on course for relegating three clubs in one year and doesn't even know what a podcast is.

I'd forgotten that when he was appointed they were outside the relegation zone but obviously struggling. To get them relegated at 23rd is....err...some achievement.

Alex Revell as caretaker at Stevenage (he is 40 now) was a shock to the system.

The great man has continued his podcast tour, getting firmly into the "obscure podcasts I've never heard of" leg of it now.
