On young Liam - should he decline to commit to an extension - we should facilitate his transfer during the summer.
The perpetual exodus of our best players without due compensation has become tiresome.
The rest of these mercenaries should be moved on / released post-haste.

I’m now excited to see what Garry Monk can do with a relatively fresh sheet of paper.
Of the out of contract players, I hope Mannion, Andrew, Morro and Brophy stay. I’d love to have Gassan back but I think he’ll be loaned elsewhere next season.
Everyone else can go. Some are good players who just get injured too often (Fej), some are big money players (for us) who have cost a lot in wages but haven’t moved us forward as a team (Cousins, Taylor & Kach).
I’d like us to be raiding League 2 and Conference sides for their best young talent, rather than looking at ex prem / championship players on their way out.
Of the in-contract players, I’d like to see May & Lankester moved on too.
Snap prediction is that Ibsen Rossi will come of age in 24/25 and become one of our first names on the teamsheet.
One thing for sure is that this summer will be a lot less emotional than last summer was. How long til August?

He's got another year on his deal at Ipswich so don't really see how a loan benefits anyone. They'll look to sell him. Given they'll almost certainly be in the Premier League next season they probably won't be overly fussed about the fee, but I'd imagine they'll want at least something for him.

The kind of player you’d hope we’ll sign with a view to selling on but probably won’t. Not s dig at owners, management or Strang, I just don’t think we have the playing budget.

Wonder if the owners will GO BIG with budget next season?
(Can't say I properly know how FFP affects that possibility.)

Dunno, it's not like we haven't paid fees for players in the last few seasons (like Lankester, Jubril and Rossi) so you never know. I'm not expecting Gassan to return though tbh, no.

We need to be looking to sign young players with sell on value, use the loan market astutely & integrate our youngsters.
Our current model has kept us here for three years, growing us considerably off the pitch, now we must kick on.

At least 3,500 season ticket holders please. The big question is: will HelterSkelter be one of them? 🤭

Let's not rewrite history, he was as bad as Bonne last year. I’m catching up on this thread and am 5 pages behind, but I absolutely cannot let this fly. Bonne is absolute horseshit and puts in barely any effort. Ironside did not have a great year last year but this is a mad comparison.

Midfield needs strengthening next season - we have been lacking in this area - will be interesting to see what the forward line will be like.

Even ignoring all contractual arrangements, I would probably only be worried about keeping L Bennett, Jobe, Andrew and maybe Brophy and Ahadme. It will be interesting to see what type of player Monk goes for and if he is happy to leave it late as we sometimes do…

Can't think... Occurs to me, however, that if we're consistently selling out the Main Stand and NRE it's actually not in the club's financial interest for the proportion of season ticket holders in these areas to increase. Big push for South Habbin season ticket holders it is then.

It's been nice having the (full) 3 sides of the ground busy as often as we have.
