Derby were very poor, especially considering Cousins and Bonne were playing for them. Poor is harsh but they were certainly nervous. Does anyone know why Mendez-Laing decided to have his neck removed? And keep his head.

Really disappointed with today’s game. No doubting the players effort today but that masks a really poor performance off the back of the really, really poor performance on Tuesday night at Bristol. A carbon copy of the Pish game. Lots of effort, very little quality, away team hit the woodwork a few times, we spurn our 1 really good chance and the away team score a strange goal. Then lots of huffing and puffing by us with plenty of pressure but all we can muster up is plenty of abysmal balls into the box and beyond the box.
Derby gave up as an attacking threat in the 2nd half but fair play to their defence as it was immense, a green shirt met every delivery and long throw.
Kachunga absolutely anonymous again and should have been hooked at half time for Lankester. Ahadme won a few flick ons but Bonne was nowhere near him or never gambled that Gas would win one by making a run behind him, just always stood still watching.
Rossi and Rennet very good in defence today. Mannion caught in no man’s land but in my opinion is still playing with house money and should start Tuesday.
Missed our chance against Bristol to ensure safety. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have to wait until August for our next goal.
It’s going to go be decided next Saturday isn’t it.

Just wish Monk could get us to play for 90 minutes instead of second half only (Blackpool, Charlton, Derby) Some good performances today, Gibbons, Digby, Andrew, and Ibsen Rossi, even thought Cousins had a better game than usual. Thought that we should have got at least a point and if we play like that (for the whole game) on Tuesday we should easily get the point we need. We need more than just a point! Cheltenham can get to 47 and will have a GD of at worst -23. One more point for us would leave us on 47 with an at best GD of -23. In this scenario it would go to goals scored: we have both currently scored 38. Thus our point would have to be at least a 3-3 draw to have a chance of being safe. I think that's right...

Monk has turned this side around, and with a hand that's not of his own choosing. 2nd half support tells you all you need to know about the majority view on this one. And no I've got no plans for a trip to the potteries next weekend.

Disappointed that we couldn’t nick a point second half but felt we played into their hands to much with lumping balls to their CB’s. Needed to try and be braver with the ball but probably where this squad is. Strange substitutions I thought with Bennett for a disinterested Brophy and Bonne getting the 90. Can understand the Digby one as he was on a yellow but Lankester failed his audition again. Thought the back 3 & Cousins all had good games. No Jobe for the rest of the season as failed a concussion test which Monk fuming about in his post match.
When I walked out of the Reading game though I would have taken being 5 clear with 2 to play. Need to be braver and get it done Tuesday

Some may have bought hospitality seats as well as that's often a route in these 'big' games. Had Ipswich fans in there both years and some other clubs. Tend to provoke a reaction from the C Block Ultra's like Derek & Neil East Midlands accents emanating from lanyard wearing gentlemen in the Main Stand bogs. Derek losing his stack at some stewards about Derby fans at HT was amusing. Apparently there were a lot in South Habbin as well

Apparently there were a lot in South Habbin as well A really sizeable group of them that congregated at the far end of the south Habbin that joined in the post match celebrations. Whether they were there all game or spread themselves out during the game I don’t know. No trouble though so fair enough. Think the guy infront of me was Derby. He didn’t celebrate the goal but filmed the derby fans celebrating the goal. No emotion shown about our efforts.

What is going on with the pitch then?
Seems to be an assumption that its poorer state is tactical on our part?

Derby fans in the home areas should have been ejected as it is a potential for trouble and certainly in breach of ground regulations to have away fans in home areas.
Surely at any other club this would happen? Can’t blame the club for home tickets getting into the hands of away fans but the stewards are surely paid to deal with this ?

Frustrating one today. One of those games where our frailties became more obvious as the game went on. Derby were nervous as hell but we never really looked like scoring.
Rossi was a huge plus, very good performance from him and Rennett. Cousins was excellent for 70 mins but then had a bit of a mad moment or two, overall another good performance from him. Subs didn’t really work. I would have given Taylor a lot longer as he was the only one who made a bit of a difference,
Thought Ahadme’s lack of match fitness was evident again today. We need him to find something from somewhere for Tuesday. I really don’t want to be going in to next Saturday needing something. Still confident, but stop messing about and get the job done.

Great second half performance, although we didn't create many chances. We really need another Wessi. We're safe and I'm looking forward to TuesdayHe never plays on Tuesdays!

What is going on with the pitch then? Seems to be an assumption that its poorer state is tactical on our part? We are witnessing the beginning of an urban myth. One of the Derby forums quoted Nathan Jones' moans about the pitch. They even copied the 'Dry Pitch' thread from this forum. Apparently Monk has made the pitch even smaller and has ensured it hasn't been watered in 8-10 years. Which is quite an achievement. This monster of a myth has now got its own momentum and will run and run. I'm sure Bloomfield will have a view after Tuesday's match.
