You're right, just found a video of the game, dated 28th december 1999
It was the season after then, in L1.

A bizarre one I remember wasn't actually bizarre for the game, but in respect of the freak snow/sleet storm for 10 mins during half time v Brighton, think it was 93 or 94.

0-0 against 8 man Cardiff, who looked more like scoring than we did. Forget the year, 1999/ 2000 I think. It was definitely 1999 It was my first ever U's game and I was only 9!! No idea why I kept coming back after that first game but shows even the worst matches can still get fans 'hooked'

It was a crap result, but a pulsating atmosphere.
No wonder you got hooked

Scunthorpe at home, Oct 89.
The game was played despite a very strong wind. Hedgey scored from the half way line with a through ball that caught the wind and then bounced over the advancing keeper. Leadbitter scored from inside his own half and with his back to goal by delicately hoofing the ball over his shoulder. Ooh-aah! I think one went in straight from a corner too. and the match ended 5-3.
I remember the day well as it was my brother's 18th birthday. After the match he had a party, inviting several U's fans from out of town. One of them, known by all as "Nutter", didn't have a place to stay so went to Parkside Police Station and declared "It was me! I did the crime!" and was successful in spending a night at her majesty's leisure.

The second replay against Bristol City was possibly my favourite ever United game. The scarf Shaggy's wearing was mine, and I bumped into him as I staggered out of the Supporters Club later than night, and asked him if he knew what had happened to it. After he'd offered to buy me a new one, he suggested I went and looked in the dressing room. There it was drapped accross the pegs in an otherwise empty dressing room. Great memories.

We were two-nil up with the 90 minutes up, away at Rotherham in the 1994/95 season (I think it was) - only to conceed twice in injury time and draw 2-2! We brought that on ourselves with endless first half chants of 'You're sh*t, you're poor, you're in division four '. Went in 2-0 up at half time. Their response in the second half was immense, considering the position they were in, and I still feel that chant inspired them. Although as I remember it we lost 3-2 so could be another year.

The 3-2 defeat after being 2-0 up was right near the end of the 1990-91 Div 3 championship season.
Clive Mendonca ran us ragged in the 2nd half and got the winner from what I remember...
