Cor, why is the standard measure of tea not pints?
I blame Europe.
Sort it Cameron.

Tea has never succumb to standardisation.

I have concluded that the finest place to view a match from within the Abbey is in the South Habbin, lent against the counter of Wellards Tea Shop. Scoffing pies and pints of tea without having to move is the dream isn't it? If you could buy 1ft of space I would certainly pay top dollar. Failing that, can we introduce mobile pie or hot dog sellers into the main stand like a baseball game. It will be even better when they move the pitch towards the SS.

Exhibition at the Abbey on Tuesday 12-9pm I think. I'll be going along to find out about the plans for both the abbey and sporting village at Trumpington. Hoping there will be someone from grosvenor and the club available to answer questions. Also opportunity to add input.

Plans look great - although timeline is a little vague. New NRE by 2020 and no other date planned.
Let's hope the club can get it all through!

The building attached to the north end looks uninspiring and looks like Asda has been bolted on to the ground I am sure the planners will comment on that, also parking might be another issue the planners will bring up.But none of this will go ahead unless Trumpington goes ahead first.

I'm in the wrong line of work, my sketch up design for the habbin is almost identical.
So, we won't be making much, if any non-match day revenue through a nhs centre and pharmacy?

Conference facilities as part of subsequent phase. I wonder whether the houses proposed would be sold or sit as part of the trust / clubs assets.
I think the plans look great but i really have doubts that development the other side of the M11 will be supported.

From a brief glance the plans look good other than the floodlights!
Sporting village plans look to have been extended. Don't remember them going beyond the M11 last time. Getting them through the planners will be the hard part. There are lots of reasons why Cambridge needs to expand. We cannot keep going for rural sprawl because urban sprawl is unacceptable. There are 100k jobs in Cambridge, the same or slightly more than Oxford. Yet the population of Cambridge is 130k, some 30k less than Oxford. The difference is made up by commuters, much more environmentally damaging and the main reason why the roads are so congested. Is Oxford ruined by having more housing than Cambridge? Of course it isn't.

News that the NRE will be a 3,500 capacity terrace is certainly welcome! Otherwise I'm not sure it's clear what's proposed, both images (including the main one in the CEN) are down as alternative ideas on the Community stadium site.
