Seems a really sensible move that gives Jack some stability and a good opportunity at what I think is the right level for him. I really hope his career grows and we can see him back higher up in the future.
My own Jack highlight was actually in one of his more recent games for us, at home to Burton when he came on and through total and utter shithousery managed to get poor Steve Seddon the booking which sent him off, the tongue out raspberry blowing moment was actually hilarious - reminiscent of a Jamie Tartt scene from Lasso.

Pleased for him.
Can't help thinking his time here was a little frustrating and he never quite kicked through with his potential but I think we did alright by him, y'know? We were patient with his susceptibility to injury early on and gave him plenty of opportunities to be *that* player thereafter.
Crewe seems like a good fit.

Andrew Yeah, 123 appearances in 3 seasons is actually a pretty strong record for someone who'd been injured for about 18 months before coming here. One of those ones that just didn't quite work out how everyone would have hoped it would. Don't think we'll be the last team he plays for in L1.

I'm sure he will excel in league 2 but it never quite happened for him here so all the best to him there.

Pleased he’s got a good contract at top end L2 team who can hopefully benefit from his undeniable talents. Just a shame it never really clicked here despite lots of appearances. Maybe if he had converted some of those stand out missed chances he could have kicked on with lots of confidence and been the creator we desperately needed. Great finish at St James Park despite the raised flag.
Hopefully room now for a new face.

Pleased for him to have a crack with another team. A mixed bag for us, sometimes I wonder if his skills were too much for some of the players he played with but then he could blow hot and cold too.
Nice post from him and sure if comes back to the Abbey he'll get a good reception.

Will probably remember him for the opener against Blackburn this year, a lovely finish. Maybe suffered a bit from being seen as the Wes replacement, when that was always going to be a tall order. Good luck to him, but feels like the right time for him and the club to go our separate ways.

Scored a cracking early goal at home to Fleetwood during our Great Escape run.

Sorry to see Jack go but it didn't quite happen for him here. Looks like a good move and think he'll do well.

Expected much more from Jack, after all the hype from Ipswich, never doubted he would get a decent move though, and he has, good luck to him.

Scored a cracking early goal at home to Fleetwood during our Great Escape run. That was exactly my abiding memory too. I’m sure our Great Escape run had already begun by the time of that goal but there was something about its sheer quality and confidence that seemed to send a message ‘we’re going to be alright’ . Very best wishes Jack.

Thanks for the media updates EG. I’ve just landed in Tenerife so looks like I’ve left it in good hands 😉
