1. Year of foundation - 1912. 2. Some depiction of the Great Bridge(aka Magdalene) please as a nick from the City coat of arms. 3. Naturally a bit of water. And a ball, a little one. Not the current bulbous one. 4. A bow to our foundation involving the Abbey/St Andrew's Church. How about St A? 5. And as important as the foregoing, the return please of United in Endeavour. As testament to all those fans in the 50s and 60s who gave their time freely to help build the project which became CUFC, Football League members in 1970. I agree about making use of the official Cambridge coat of arms which features a bridge over a river, which is precisely why we are called Cambridge.

Aston Villa have updated their badge. Supposed to be a homage to one of their older badges, however feel like it just looks like the copy and paste modern format so many clubs are going for. Very similar to Chelsea's now too. Personally always liked Villa's badge. I feel like there's this attitude from the higher ups in football that they constantly have to change things. What happened to "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? Football crests have always changed and will always change. Remarkably both examples, Chelsea and Villa, have had the same crests for the best part of 20 years. Quite a long time. Villa’s is OK. Chelsea’s is crap. This is what I mean though. Why change something that doesn't need to change? Leeds United is an example of a club that tried to change its badge to something horrific, luckily the uproar it caused stopped it being implemented. Outside of the UK, Juventus "modernised". Why does a badge ever need to change? As for our own, I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as some people on here say it is. Perhaps it's a little unimaginative but it's become easily distinctive among other football clubs in the pyramid. I'd say it's a safe bet.

I'm fairly certain if we do change it'll be a vague spruce up of our current one regardless. I'm happy with the current one even if it is a bit tragic, but would like to see our options. That's all.

It's a seriously naff badge but it stands out from the crowd. Keep it or amend slightly IMO.
It'd be boring to have a bridge, river etc. Would look like a County Council crest. Let's keep the irreverence.
If we go down a full redesign route it'd need to feature our floodlights, bacon rolls, a moose and coconuts. That's Cambridge United.

Absolutely it is to us, but it would have others from around the country wondering why and taking the piss!

Any chance we'll get a decent bacon roll next season? Those award-winning delicacies feel like a lifetime ago. A fever dream even.

Look no further than Sheffield Wednesday. Awfully boring clip art 1980’s badge that was a victim of constant refinement into an abstract blue owl and white background. Looked like an NHS logo. They replaced it with something that is both historically traditional and vibrantly modern. I don’t know why, but it totally changes the way I think about that club. I respect them more because they have a nice badge. We could do it too. That yellow and blue away strip helped! What a shirt that is. As someone who only became a fan when I moved here in the last decade, the badge is dreadful. I get that it is very town, and not gown, but it certainly wouldn't have lured me in as a prospective customer!(you may all now pass the sick bucket) I think something representing both the city's proud history and the football club's tradition shouldn't be impossible. I do also understand how attached you can become to such things, being a lover of football tradition.

I love playing around with this kind if thing! I'm not sure how you get 'Cambridge United' AND 'United In Endeavour' on a badge though...

I say keep it as it is.
It may be a little bit naff and a bit confusing with the battlements, but it's ours.
Everyone remember....change is bad.
