Can I ask the older fans how they allowed the abomination that is the current badge to get through consultation. Because there was no consultation, as far as I can remember. I have checked football programmes from before the change and there was no mention of a new badge, it was just changed and people accepted it or rather just had to put up with it. One season it was the book and ball, the next it was the CU ball. It’s nice to be given the chance to air our views on what the badge should be and what it might mean to different supporters but in the end it’s not going to stop anyone from supporting the club, and is unlikely to dramatically increase the number of sponsors. If the club want to change it, then change it, preferably giving us some options to vote on, but we are never going to be 100% or even 75% behind whatever is proposed so just change it. Far too many things in modern life are subject to excessive delays and wasted money because of meaningless consultations.

I never asked for or wanted the toilet seat, but got it anyway. Still got plenty of shirts and other gear I've bought over the years with it on though. If it's time for change - get on with it.

This all feels a bit like people objecting to new housing. They don't want it to affect the things they like, yet also want an affordable place for them and their kids to live. Except with the club, the situation is that fans want the club to grow, but want to dictate/cut off ways the people running the club have identified that they believe will enable them to attract more income. You can't always have your cake and eat it. So......what cake should go on the badge? Please God not a Chelsea Bun.
