Ahadme 9 Kachunga 6 Fejiri 5 Morrison 4 Thomas 2 So you reckon we will only score about 30 goals all season?! At least you are very unlikely to turn out to be over-optimistic!

Heaven help us if either of the first 2 predictions are anyway close. Today's new striker. 15 Ahadme. 12 Okenabirhie. 9 Thomas. 6 LBennett. 5 There we go a bit of crystal ball gazing. Today's new striker is Elias Kachunga

We've been spoiled by Mullin and a lesser extent Smith over the last few years, from memory about 12/13 seems par for top goalscorer.

Berry got 22 in one his seasons, but yeah since we've been back in the league low double digits is generally a "good" season for a top scorer. We've had a lot of single-digit top-scorers too. Let's not forget the truly terrific season where Knibbs was top with 7. Brown managed 9 I think.
Fun fact: Berry outscored Barry (Corr) in both seasons they were at the club together.

I remember that season with Knibbs (7), not one to brag about! Think we've had a couple like that over the years since being back in the league.
I'm still hoping for one more striker but as it stands I'll go for: Ahadme 12 Fejiri 8 Kaikai 6 Lankester 5 Janneh 5
I think we'll have a much more collective effort this year with lots of players chipping with a few goals each.

Smith would probably have been top-scorer that season (and likely in double figures) if glandular fever hadn't ended it for him in February.

And Abbeyman has our top five scoring only 26, and anyone else getting one or two at most - my point is that last season was a very poor one for goal-scoring and yet we scored 42 league and cup goals, so predicting around 30 is deeply pessimistic; it implies expecting a truly dreadful season.

I meant more that the numbers, with the exception of Smith at the top, were fairly close, top 5 to top 5. (9, 6, 5, 4, 2 v 14, 6, 5, 4, 4) It was poor enough that Dunk's late-season run of 3 put him... 6th. But yeah hopefully he's a fair bit under there. I'd also hope we manage more than the 14 unique scorers of last year.

You know what I hadn’t actually twigged the correlation. I don’t think we’ll score a lot, but I’m confident about the defence. Think we’ll be one of them with the goals shared around. But maybe a little more than 30.

To be fair, most of us predicting low totals from players already here, will be assuming that quite a few goals will be scored by players not yet signed up, at least that applies to me. Anyway, what's your prediction Nick?... Kentish

This is something I'm hopeful of. We've already had seven, I think, in the four friendlies I can think of - Ahadme, Janneh, Morro, Brophy, Okinabirhie, Cousins and goalscoring superstar hero Harrison Dunk - so reason to be mildly hopeful. (I don't know if it was ever mentioned who scored against Spurs (spit))

Ahadme got the Spurs goal, I believe.
I would hope this season we'll see Bennett, Bennett, Morrison, Ibsen Rossi, Andrew, Dunk, Kaikai, Cousins, May, Kachunga, Lankester, Thomas, Okenabirhie & Ahadme + whoever this last signing is all score at least once. Brophy really ought to too & who knows what'll happen with Janneh.
I don't think that's unrealistic.

If anyone who replied before we got Kachunga wants to change their prediction, that's totally fine, cut off point for predictions is just before the Oxford game starts...
