Ah I just love this 'broken record' poll It wouldn't be needed if it wasn't for our broken record form over two seasons.

It’s so congested in the middle of the league where we are. If Okenabirhie had scored the pen against Vale, we’d be 13th and a win could have had a knock on effect of improved results in the games after. In our first season up 21/22 we had a brilliant January with something like W4 D1 L0. Plus a win at Newcastle. That month pretty much gave us the points cushion to stay up relatively comfortably.
We probably just need a couple of runs of 3 wins out of 4 games with a scattering of wins and draws picked up elsewhere to get us to 50 points.

Just out of interest, where does this belief come that Bonner can never be sacked? It sounds like a bit of a conspiracy theory bollocks to me. So can someone do a 'Nadine Dorries' and tell me who these people are who and how they know.
Sense I'll be waiting a long time.....

Form over the season is OK as it stands and I'd be very satisfied if we finished 15th. However, we're 20th in the form table (last 6 games) and the 1 win in 11 is relegation form. Are you OK with that trajectory?

What doesn't help is talk beforehand of 'free hits' or ' gulf in class' for league matches. How demoralising is that for the players? They are professional footballers who on their day both individually and as a team can hold their own in L1 but it implies they are somehow less capable than the opposition. The defensive tactics they are being asked to play seems to bear this out, no wonder heads drop when we go behind and comeback wins are so rare.
Teams and players in L1 are there for a reason, yes we are a smaller club and budget to match but over a season it should be a fairly even playground where those teams who play with confidence will ultimately rise to the top and those who play in fear of losing will be at the bottom.
Our players are capable of beating any team in this league by imposing our game on them rather than waiting for them to hurt us, it won't always happen but should happen enough times to keep us comfortably safe whilst watching a more entertaining product on the pitch.

How many times have we heard a club saying that they stand by their man & then 5 minutes later sack them? The Indispensable Man(by Saxon White Kessinger) Sometime when you're feeling important; Sometime when your ego 's in bloom; Sometime when you take it for granted, You're the best qualified in the room: Sometime when you feel that your going, Would leave an unfillable hole, Just follow these simple instructions, And see how they humble your soul. Take a bucket and fill it with water, Put your hand in it up to the wrist, Pull it out and the hole that's remaining, Is a measure of how much you'll be missed. You can splash all you wish when you enter, You may stir up the water galore, But stop, and you'll find that in no time, It looks quite the same as before. The moral of this quaint example, Is to do just the best that you can, Be proud of yourself but remember, There's no indispensable man.

At least the 1 win in 11 games contains 5 draws which gives it a little bit of respectability. Last season we were guilty of turning 1’s into 0’s. The draws so far are useful and 2 of those should probably have been wins.

He asked who the mysterious power brokers at the club are. My bad attempt at humour saying it’s you & Mr Lang! It’s been a long weekend 😂
