It creates the wrong impression only if it doesn't elevate our performances for me. We did the same last year when Burtons was postponed and it was a tactic that reinvigorated the squad.
If it's true and works again this time, great. If it doesn't....that's not great. No more carrot.
Anyway, on the poppy thing it was apparently a communication error on the Royal British Legion end rather than our oversight, but that's just what I heard so I guess we'll wait for the clubs feedback.

Is it true that the players have been given this week off? One having being allegedly spotted at the airport going on holiday? Does this not create a the wrong impression after Saturday’s‘performance! ? Presumably such a thing would have been organised before the weekend and I don't reckon cancelling people's mini-breaks would be great for morale after a 5-0 spanking. Whether they should have breaks at all etc sounds like it would be a tiresome debate but as Andrew says it worked alright last year so no surprise it was put in the calendar.

It's a good thing, players and staff could do with a chance to reflect and refresh after Saturday, not often they will get that chance. As Andrew says though, it is important we see the benefit of this enforced break, however they spend it, when they return to action.

I think a little break from United after Saturday’s debacle is good for players and fans alike

It'll only take one good performance/result to get us upbeat again!

How the new million pound changing rooms and toilets etc at the training ground will affect performances on the match day pitch? I'll answer this one. Very simple - it will allow the club to attract better players. It's their place of work every day building up to game day and our current training ground was not only the worst in league one but league two as well.

This is right and we must see a reaction against Northampton & Lincoln. I understand it was probably pre-planned as we've got a free week but as some have speculated on social media, were some of their heads already 'on the beach' on Saturday?

For any professional athlete getting humiliated - and they were - will hurt. Reaction is critical in terms of recovery. They apparently couldn't react in game time so now it's down to training and the next few games. Not sure that going their separate ways for a week is conducive to a positive team response as for most, CUFC is a contract, just like they've had before and will have again. Not convinced they'll all take much time for reflection either if their nearest & dearest have other ideas!
It will hurt more and longer for a few, those already well invested emotionally in CUFC but, like most clubs, we don't have many of those and they won't be able to influence the others if they are not in & around the club.
Personally, I'd have had them in on Sunday.

My question for the club - Please can you tell us supporters what Plan B is, because we have yet to see it !
