Strange how the football world turns. Going there, a place where Harris managed recently. What odds on our season starting badly and Bonner getting enticed back to replace Monk?
Only kidding, of course, but as they often say, fact is stranger than fiction!

I would love Bonner back one day. No idea when that would happen, what it would look like, under what circumstances or even if it's sensible but I absolutely adore the guy and would be very happy to have him back.
Mainly though I just want to see him back managing elsewhere and making a success of it. ❤️.

Been reading the 'New Manager (Rumours and Suggestions)' thread on the Blues Rock Cafe! forum (Gillingham FC) and interesting how the reaction to the rumour of Bonner's possible appointment was initially a bit underwhelming until a couple of posters did a bit of research and posted articles, interviews and podcasts involving Bonner which have now been greeted with quiet confidence that he is the man they want appointed.
Would be delighted for him if that happens and fascinating to see how he fares at such a club. I'm not sure about the current ownership situation there but didn't Evans and/or The Snake leave as they felt they weren't backed financially?

I suspect that is why the owners would want him, given his background in youth and junior football, developing players at little or no cost to the club.

Although as one poster put it 'the only reason Cambridge got promoted was because they signed Hoolahan'.
Sigh....
EDIT: ElG beat me to it by 2.3 seconds...

Expect BC to go too and that will free up Monk to bring in his own #2
