Expecting Digby to come straight back in for this as we will need his physicality. But not sure who for. May had his best game for ages on Tue, although he tired badly after a hour or so. Thomas provided the link between midfield and attack, and Cousins obviously scored, and done what Cousins does. Digby in for May is an absolute no-brainer for this game. Otherwise probably stick as was, although I'd be half-tempted to put Lankester in the middle and Thomas on the right, as Stevenage are very physical through the middle of the pitch.

For those driving - WARNING PLEASE PASS ONTO ANYONE DRIVING TO STEVENAGE Please be aware that there are strict parking restrictions on the retail parks situated close to the ground and supporter parking is not permitted on matchdays. This the same with parking on the grass verges near the ground, and the council parking enforcement teams are very active on a matchday! I can see why for a Sat afternoon game - but these shops are likely closed on Friday night. This was a post from SLO Cambridge United on FB. Just passing on the message

This is one of those games I can't see us getting anything out of. Stevenage looked very strong at the Abbey.
I'd rest Cousins and play Digby/ Thomas in the middle. Mainly because it's just the type of game to pick up injuries. They took 10 minutes to take out Janneh when he was in red hot form. I also expect young Liam to have a very busy evening and a sore forehead by the end of the game. I'd even be slightly tempted to use Haunstrup at right back.
Anyway, a narrow defeat and no injuries wouldn't be the worst of results. A draw would be magnificent and a win would require a change of underwear.

I feel like Thomas offers more physicality than Jack does tbh. He’s a fighter is Thomas, who puts himself about and gets stuck in. I’m not sure what Jack offers the team, personally.

Hi mate, I'm on the hunt for 2 tickets. Not sure how it would work with the over 60 one though as neither of us would pass for that. Would you propose to post them if I bought them or prefer pass on / collect? Account less than 24 hours old, is an interesting one for a first post... Really? I set up the account with the primary purpose of finding Stevenage tickets

Due to train disruption, I am driving to Stevenage , any suggestions on parking greatly received ! Just stop your car in a convenient place and get out. Normally works for me.

Priest has a ticket for the home terrace, where I plan to make many new friends.

Does anyone have a free seat in a car going back to Newmarket after the game? Or to anywhere nearby. It’d save me a taxi back from Cambridge station so I can definitely contribute to petrol.
First game of the season and first since Derby away for me. Must’ve seen us at Stevenage 4 or 5 times and we’ve taken some heavy beatings. Although all in the Conference.

Has anyone thought of trying Rossi as a centre forward? Young enough to run about a bit. Tall enough to get his head on a few and ugly enough to keep a defender guessing.

I mean he had a very good 1982 World Cup but I think he’s getting on a bit and might even be dead. But maybe he could do a decent enough short term job up front.

I have two spare away tickets to tonight (2x Adult). If anyone is interested text me on 075143147656
I live in a village between Cambridge and Royston just off the A10 so should be easy to collect if anyone wants them.

Always a joy to see a rampaging centre back causing chaos up top. If it was something we were half considering then Morrison would probably be the best one to go with. Could be fun.

I'm going with a top two of Neil Harris and Barry Corr.
