Hopefully we’re still in for a target man as well but we’ll see. Marquis has also been mentioned who is a bit more of a target man type. I'll be flabbergasted if we finish this transfer window with 6 first-team forwards on the books. We aren't Wrexham.

Good signing that…. Gillingham fans aren’t happy either 😂 Ιt is a pretty odd one from their side but whatever.

But if Gassan isn’t back properly match fit for another 2 months and Fejiri similar (?) then maybe the board is writing them off for the season and would consider Taylor, Kach, Bonne and one other as a necessary 4? Njoku not included in that. Unlikely I know, but not impossible if Harris has made a strong case for needing 4 fit ones. Particularly as 3 of them are of the same profile. Again, I think we’ve probably just missed out on targets and that’s meant our squad building isn’t quite as intended.

Harris said before they'd like to keep Gas, but will depend on a number of factors. One might be whether we can get someone else in who's fit to play straightaway. If (big if) there's another signing in the works, suspect Gas might have his loan terminated to facilitate room in the budget.

Good signing him and Taylor will be quality plenty of effort and running and he wants to be here for me that's great also we have the other 2 strikers coming back in 3 or 4 weeks time so good to have a squad of depth.

Taylor, Bonne, Kachunga, Okenabirhie, Ahadme. On paper that is an L1 standard embarrassment of riches striker wise. Obviously only comes about due to 2 long term injuries but imagine having to pick 2 or even 3 of those if all were available come mid/late March and what the formation would be. Probably a very BIG if though

What we need is someone to be creating chances for these guys. Hopefully there is another one today that can do that!

Astounded at the negativity of some of these posts. This is a brilliant signing.

Another full international for the ranks.
We had any other Zimbabweans play for us?

Looks like a very good signing to me, and expect we'll go two up top from here on in. It'll be interesting to see whether that comes in a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2, or whether I've got it completely wrong! I think we've got the players for either, but would worry about getting overrun in midfield playing 4-4-2.
I reckon the early announcement today suggests that we expect to make one more signing - I guess whoever that is might give us a clue as to how we're planning to set up.

We've effectively been playing 4-2-2-2 really since Harris came in, with the tweak of positioning with the #10, so I imagine we'll probably continue in the same vein. Taylor was the deeper of the 2 for a lot of last Saturday and I can see us continuing to use him there/alongside Bonne.
