I wonder how many more industries allow for an employee to leave with no notice. Most often you would have to give at least one month's notice, if not more to be released from your employment. Many of course get placed on 'gardening leave', but still serve a period of notice.

Looks suspiciously like some tapping up has happened here. 🐍

Many of course get placed on 'gardening leave', but still serve a period of notice. All industries allow an employee to leave without notice if all parties agree. In this case, all parties agree because Millwall are paying an acceptable sum for our agreement. Football, as an industry, is bound by the same contract laws that apply to all other industries, it’s just that contracts are structured differently to your average 9-5 due to the fairly unique circumstances of the job.

Although it does happen occasionally, it rare that you hear of a manager being put on gardening leave though. I understand that it is usually avoided by a financial settlement though.

2 wins and a draw from his first 3 games, still not out of the woods yet but can't see many people their side turning against him after that start.

Be absolute poetic justice if he did get sacked though wouldn't it, to this totally dishonourable chap.

Was told by a former coach last night that Harris was nt liked by hardly anyone apart from the groundsman at the college due to there City links so sounds like he done us a big favour by buggering off.

Trying to stay positive ahead of the match. Did you have to remind me? Professional if you can't be polite, if you can't be friendly, etc.

Weirdly a load of their fans seemed to be on his back already after that draw. Those 7 points have avoided them being dragged down but they're certainly still in the mix.

It'll be interesting to see how they get on at Leeds today. The more our season goes on the more I'm starting to appreciate what a good manager he was for us. The rat.

Harris is a bit like Warnock in that he keeps things simple and gives the players a confidence boost. At this level, you don’t need to be a tactician as such. The players just need clear instructions and at the very least, the opposition will make a mistake which will give you a chance. He will probably never be a PL manager (famous last words) but knows how to get a team playing.

Harris is a decent back to basics manager, yeah. We were mostly organised and played to our plodding strengths with him
Not sure there's much to him beyond very basic football if I'm honest, I guess Millwall fans are better judges of that. I half expect him to be gone by Christmas when they get bored of him tbh. I hope so anyway, prick.
Not sure where we'd be right now with him charge, probably with a better goal difference I'd think(!) but what points return we'd have from Scum, Chavs, Bolton, Northampton, Lincoln and Reading is anyone's guess.
