We’ve had one shot one target in each of the last two matches. Had 4 last Saturday and 2 against Bolton. 8 shots on target over 4 matches, nearly 400 minutes of football. I don’t care if we lose knowing we’ve given everything but that’s fucking embarrassing and it honestly feels like we’ve said oh these are sides above us anything would be a bonus and thus been beaten before we step on the pitch. Not sure if Corr has gone back to the pre-Harris ways but it's the sort of defeatism that felt prevalent in the first half of the season under Bonner.

One sliver of a silver lining on this cloud is that our Comms Officer was at the Spurs-Palace match. I really don't want to hear the post match autopsy.

As Mr Moosehacker says, we all knew we'd lose that. Realistically we all knew we'd lose the 4 in a row that we have, whenever we play a team in the top half of the league it's a forgone conclusion. I don't think other teams have this problem but i'm happy to hear any comforting stats people can pull out of the bag
I think someone said it a few weeks back, we've beaten one team above us in the league this season (at the time of playing at least). That is an unbelievable mentality that some of these players have, I know Bonner wouldn't have helped with the "little old Cambridge" line but it's been going on much longer than Bonner's press conferences got negative.
I didn't bother watching the game today, I couldn't put myself through it. We have no games left against lower opposition so we really need to pull our fingers out, starting with a must win at Northampton. Here's hoping a return of Taylor plus a short burst of new manager bounce is enough to get us over the line
Then we can move onto the summer clearout and i'd be shipping all but about 5 of them out the door, thanks and goodbye.

End of the season rapidly approaching and it's squeaky bum time again. Looking at the last 11 matches three home games look like must wins: Northampton, Wycombe and Charlton. Factor in another three draws (maybe Reading, Wigan and Port Vale) and we reach the magic 50 points and might stay up. But the managerial vacuum and team attitude may mean we are just in a death spiral.

Some comforting stats. Carlisle lost 8 in a row. Fleetwood didn't win in 12. 14 if you include their 7-0 aggregate cup score against us and Derby. Port Vale have picked up 3 points from their last 11 games. Charlton didn't win in 16. Reading have had six points docked and will likely lose more. Wigan have had 8. Exeter didn't win in their first 11 games, and haven't in their last 4 either. Even Northampton picked up 1 point from 15 earlier in the season. Lincoln didn't win in 9. Orient 8. Hell, Oxford have only won one of their last ten. The scum lost 4 in a row just this month. Some of those have picked up, and some of them haven't. We look absolutely atrocious right now, but nearly all the other teams in the division have had similar runs. We don't have to be good to stay in this division. We just need to, by hook or by crook, pick up some points from the remaining fixtures.

I do think people are overplaying the "Bonner vs Big Team" thing. He praised teams like Portsmouth, Wigan, Ipswich etc before beating them away, just as much as he praised similar teams before losing to them. Almost like his phrasing of things to the media doesn't mean he was telling the players not to bother, We certainly went to Bolton away under him last year in a worse position, but managed to battle and scrap our way to a crucial point.
Harris changed the belief of the team and attacking intent, but in a way that left us open to a comeback. Taking the lead against Oxford, Blackburn, Portsmouth and Bolton was nice, but we were well beaten in all of them really (only against Oxford "deserving" more).
At the moment we seem to have the worst of both. Harris leaving and Taylor's suspension has lost us that belief, but we've still got the openness at the back. Our team no longer looks like the one that was leading the division in clean sheets.

I was all for retaining Corr and Betsy in the interests of long-term planning etc. but Barry, and I love the guy, has seemed to have gone out of his way to avoid being offered the job. Say what you like about Harris - yes, he’s Slytherin personified - but the side had so much more belief about them in his time here.

Ha ha Unfortunately I have had a good day enjoying the corporate hospitality at the Spurs Stadium. Downside of the day was of course the result at Bolton

Feel sorry for Barry. His wife has just had a baby and he’s probably not been at home with them as much as he would like to and when he has, there’s probably not much sleep. If Harris hadn’t left then Barry may have got at least a weeks paternity leave but instead got an unwanted temporary promotion at a very inconvenient time in his personal life.
Whoever is appointed has my backing and we need 4 points from the next 3 games at least.

4 points will be a big ask Northampton are nt crap and Smith and Knibbs will be desperate to put us away.My worry is the body language of the players looked broken and if I can imagine they know who is coming in and it did nt have a effect today otherwise they would of least given a bit but some looked like they would rather not be playing hopefully a fresh voice whether it's the right one for the club will change their feelings currently.

I think it’s important as a fan base we acknowledge what Corr has done for the club these past few weeks. I dread to think of the additional hours the man has had to put in and at considerably heightened stress levels to normal. And that goes for his partner too! Those newborn weeks are so fleeting and precious and there’s no getting them back once they’re gone. There’s been much “no loyalty in football” chat recently, but Corr has shown nothing but loyalty and commitment in Buttface Arris’ wake and I, for one, am very grateful to Barry and his partner for the work they’ve put in and the sacrifices they’ve undoubtedly made 💛🖤

Whether or not he becomes a successful manager for us in future, Corr has never let this club down.

Absolutely absolutey this.
I think there's room under a new manager for Corr, whether he wants his own assistant or not I think there should always be 'that guy' who you plan for the future around. I love that we have a long term vision for the management position...it makes sense to invest him him as the future in the same way having a youth team makes sense.
