Last season kind of summed up his career to date. He had moments when he was unstoppable but those moments weren’t quite often enough. Hopefully our new style, new players will bring the best out of him. He’s clearly got the talent, just needs to hit a high level on a more consistent basis.

I hope we're not placing too much faith on this new style of ours.
I'm expecting peak Barcelona, Arsevincibles, Brazil 1970 or Bolton any era. I *think* I'm being pretty reasonable but we'll see I suppose.

I read that as staying and on his day he can be unplayable but those days are few and far between but probably having to play very defensive and in some many different positions probably never helped hopefully now we can see the Kai Kai that runs at players.

I suspect thats a cut and paste from every club he's played for

Andrew If they aren't using the words "tiki" and "taka" every time we get mentioned on Soccer Saturday, the Monk revolution will still need work.

Our fitness levels seemed down on previous years last season. Was certain games where a number of players looked shot after an hour or so. Losing Matt Walker was like losing a star player.

I think the way we play (i.e not having the ball much) is more physically demanding than having the ball and perhaps makes it seem like we're less fit than other sides. I suspect we're just as fit tbh.

Potentially yes or he’s off to Gillingham…. Chance for Monk to bring his own person in

Players were out on their feet after an hour against pish at home.
Monk ordered extra training when he first arrived as the fitness levels were not where they should have been.

You could see in matches we weren’t fit as some other teams. This could have been a factor in injuries as well. Maybe why Rowett got rid of Bloom at Millwall. Hopefully he’s gone back there with the snake

Wonder when we might start hearing news about the contracts. You'd imagine we'd have set a deadline but also given the players time to take a break, but I'm sure several of them have already signed & we're just waiting to announce it. End of this week, early next maybe?

I think that counts as announcing them.
