Could clubs put pressure on the FA Cup sponsors Emirates? Refuse to use “Emirates” on all cup game advertising and official stuff. No mention of it on any publicity for games. No Emirates on the wall behind manager/player interviews. Everyone jokingly rename it the Wizz-Air FA Cup as the competition makes its way down to budget airline levels of prestige.
Emirates might have a few words with the FA if this could tarnish their shiny image.

I am not as against this as some, do we really need replays against teams like Blackpool, Gateshead or Newport? Sure, a replay against a PL side is great but we are talking once every now and again. In some ways having one game against a big side increases the chances of getting through, to draw and then beat a team like Norwich is harder.
But it does take away some of the magic of the FA Cup, and if a team like Spurs can't beat a team like us over one game then tough on them! Also, if the EFL teams are against it then it should not be imposed (that said I do find it ironic that PL teams get criticised for doing what's best for them, surely we do that too)? What no-one has commented is that may we would benefit from this in 10 years time when we are having to play CL and PL games all the time!!
I do find these statements pointless - the only way to get this changed is to boycott the comp. The FA cant sue all of us and the PR would be awful for them. If only 10 teams boycott then it won't work, it will need 50+, i.e. L1 & L2. So I do hope that the EFL stick together.
I doubt the Championship teams are bothered, they can't win the FA Cup, the holy grail is to get to the PL, so having one less game against Preston, us, Crawley is in their interest as while a game v Man U would get some more money, its not life changing as it is for us.

It won't tarnish the image as most fans do support PL teams and the international audience couldnt care less what happened to teams like us

The only people this would harm is the clubs that did it - clubs are contractually obligated to promote the competition sponsors. Heavy fines would be imposed.

No one will boycott as the FA will give them a little more and Football becomes more about money for the big clubs, whilst Sky are willing to pay them silly money then it will only get worse for the little clubs.

One potential solution is that if a team draws the match against a team 2 or more divisions below them, then it goes to a replay.
The big teams will most likely play their fringe players anyway so if they basically throw the game, they deserve to have to play an extra game.

Whether we like what CFU may or may not have done in the past is immaterial. No. It really isn’t. Something you are clearly struggling to grasp. CFU don’t get to decide when fans should be listened to

I remember the outrage over the creation of MK Franchise. Last time we played there I think around 1700 United fans went. Football fans aren't the most principled so I can't see any significant support for this

The big teams will most likely play their fringe players anyway so if they basically throw the game, they deserve to have to play an extra game. A better solution would be to scrap two leg league semi finals, using the free date for third round replays and only have no fourth round replay in ties involving sides in Europe with the PL providing compensation to any side missing out. The second boy is a bit of a bodge, but hey. Round 1&2 replays could also continue. Brilliant eh?

I've mixed feelings about this.
The impression I get is the top PL clubs would be quite happy for us to boycott the FA cup.For us the romance of the FA cup retains all its appeal over the generations with the 3rd round prize of a big draw away to one of the big clubs and the rare opportunity to watch the Us at places like Highbury and Old Trafford and perhaps Anfield one day. Alright so with the new system we wouldn't get to Old Trafford for a replay but we still have a chace of that draw when the bal comes out of the hat.
It isn't just this. VAR at Newcastle was just weird. I lament endless replays being stopped some years back. There was something gentlemanly and very British about two teams repeatedly battling it out in 2nd and 3rd replays to progress in the cup. It still feels cheap to me to have penalty shoot outs to determine a winner. I do enjoy extra time though. A draw should be part of the match between two teams is very much part of the game and sets them up either for a groanworthy replay or the prixe of a replay depending on your perspective. Maybe both sides groan but it's an ingredient of the FA cup that makes for top notch entertainment and makes the FA cup just as important as the leauge. What next, get rid of draws from leauge football!
I just get the feeling those top PL clubs would be delighted to see the end of the FA cup because all they care about is the Eurpoean cups which mean nothing to us. What I'm saying is I miss lots that has been taken from us such as the endless replays and now any replays but I am just glad we still have an FA cup and the chance of meeting these big clubs. My fear is boycott will make things even worse by perhaps killing the FA cup entirely.
So I'm undecided on all this and until i'm convinced one way or the other will keep an open mind on this. As far as B teams in EFL fancy pants cup that can FRO as a definite no no. Just not so sure on where all this is heading with an FA cup boycott.

There's a really easy solution to all of this and it's already in operation within the FA
The FA Vase & Trophy both have the ability to either go to Extra time or a replay depending on what the clubs agree before hand. That seems very simple and stops the big clubs having to play replays against other big clubs whilst allowing the minnows to have the replay they want
Simple, effective, easy

The big club's objection isn't so much that they have to play the odd replay, it's that they have to keep 4 slots free every season because of possible replays (Round 3 to QFs). The FA Trophy idea of agreeing game by game whether or not to settle it on the night makes a tonne of sense and I think would actually be a beneficial change right the way through, but it doesn't address the main point.
I'm not saying that its a valid objection by the way.

Just allow replays, unless one of the clubs is still in a European competition. Simple solution.
