I hope we play Wrexham early doors next season as it took them quite a while to get to grips with league football and they shipped lots of goals before realising they can’t play Hollywood football all the time and expect to keep clean sheets. Predicting the same thing will happen as they sign a load of new players.

Birmingham would be a fun away game for me not to go to. I feel like whoever comes down is going to be pretty strong tbh. Who's got the most potential to be a basket case? Wednesday perhaps? Their owner seems like he might completely bin his toys. Blackburn? Is it still the Venkeys? They've overseen quite a decline if Blackburn go down. Dunno, but yeah a Crawley or Barrow coming up would be nice you'd think. Andrew Doncaster are the team to watch with that run of something like 10 wins in a row to make the play offs. Could do without Plymouth coming down, but they play a Hull team that need a win to have a chance of making the play offs. Birmingham have Norwich who are pretty much guaranteed the play offs. But I fancy Brum to join Huddersfield and Rotherham in dropping down... and I think they deserve it after bringing in Rooney and getting rid of Eustace.

Especially if our current early-doors friends Oxford go up.

Got a feeling the Stevenage away game will be on a Saturday with KO moved to 12 o clock after this year's incidents. Ditto Boro again after this year's p/off implosion.

And a Saturday in August or April to guarantee the match can finish using daylight instead of relying on their floodlights and generators.

Of the 17 other teams guaranteed to be in League One next season so far, I'd say we should be competitive with at least 10 of them, as in they're of a similar size or we have good recent form against. Then there's the potential for basket cases and plucky results. A decent summer and with Monkybabes at the helm, and I think we'll do OK. No doubt we'll have a few hidings along the way, but I think we'll be hard to beat at least. Not too bothered about specific positions, but would like to see us comfortably dull in mid-lower mid table. Bring on mediocrity.

There’s going to be at least 1 club with some points deductions heading their way, either before the start or during.
Wonder how the finances of Huddersfield are looking?

Wonder if Stevenage post Evan’s will be as strong next year.
Burton, Shrews, Northampton, Exeter, Brizzle plus non Wrexham promoted sides..
Can we finish above 4 of them ?

Northampton have relied on several season long loans for their successful season, I can see a second season syndrome for them like we suffered in 22/23.
Fancy Stevenage to have a massive drop off, whoever they appoint. Please stay away from them Bonz!
Feels like the L1 floor has been raised for next season with Hollywood FC and Stockport looking to establish themselves with something better than a relegation scrap.
Hopefully the L2 play off winner could be the new Carlisle.

Stockport have serious backing, and the owner of Mansfield is very well off too. The question is whether the owners stay committed or get bored like Dale Vince at FGR. It will not be easy next season but we should be able to compete within the bottom eight/ten, not to mention the mandatory seasonal surprise (Barnsley? Wycombe? Huddersfield?)

I have a colleague who follows Stockport, they've been through some tough times in recent years. Mostly poor owners destroying the club, they have a good backer who seems to be in it for the long term now so I think they'll do ok next year. as long as MK Dons don't come back up I think there's a potential for the other play off winner to struggle too.

Yeah a club like that spending 6 years in regional football is really going through it. Much like Wrexham, knowing they're now well funded doesn't mean they've not been through it.
