Sooooo...all this club badge talk and what it does or doesn't mean to you lot has got me to ponder what your identifiers are, if anything, or is it more of an intangible feeling?
What's sacrosanct to you?, what circumstances would make you open to change?

Floodlights for me, and nothing would make the acceptable to change (unless they made them taller and made the lights spell out Dunk)

The finest set of Pylon mounted floodlights in England.

The Abbey. Simple as that. Our home, in the heart of our City (almost!) and defining exactly where we came from, still are and will ever be. Buying The Abbey back was the single most important thing Paul has done for us and I’ll be forever grateful.
Everything else is just fluff as far as I’m concerned.

Yep, much of it has already been said. Owners come and go (although Paul Barry's legacy is starting to look like it might protect us from lots of destabilising churn), coaches come and go and players come and go. The constants are built around what makes us feel 'home': the ground, the club name and the colours. Oh, and an honourable mention for the playing of 'Coconuts' after a home win.

As long as we didn’t let our club die - and we worked pretty fking hard not to do that - I’m happy. Oh. And don’t let they cnt Atkins back. There’s a line

Wasn't there a time when Cambridge City Council were considered so unhelpful towards/anti-CUFC that some suggested reverting to the name Abbey United?
I wouldn't have minded that, so, perhaps surprisingly, the name, for me, is not as sacrosanct as the colours or the ground.

Floodlights and being unsure if we play in yellow or amber home kits. Ah this all day long. I will fight anyone who says we play in anything other than amber, and viscerally flinch at the mere idea, but will damn well be singing "Yellows" when the moment comes.
