Interesting comments from Harry Kane regarding the amount of drop outs (8 or now 9 if you include Branthwaite who was a replacement but has cried off too now) Pretty sure the number would have been less had Tuchel been in charge already instead of Jan 1st, which makes no sense to me, is there a valid reason for it?

Don't know, there's a few comments from Kane that may or may not be veiled - "[Gareth] Southgate brought the joy to play for England back, Every camp people were excited to come, every camp people wanted to play for England and that's the most important thing"
I suspect many of them would be available for a world cup qualifier so I'm not too worried about their club v country loyalties when it really matters.
I don't really mind using these Nathans league games as way to experiment with players like Lewis, Hall, Quansah, Harwood-Bellis, Gomes, Livramento, Gibbs, Rogers, either. I think it could be ultimately beneficial to them/is.

Not sure if finding out Taylor Harwood-Bellis is a white bloke is more or less shocking than finding out the same about Desmond Buckingham.

Desmond Buckingham could easily be either.
Not only is he a comedy hairdressers from the late 80's but he's also where a bunch of inbred racists live.

Easy for Kane to have a pop. He's got a winter break month off. He should focus on his own 'form'.

Slightly better than pointless friendlies, but with the near total saturation of 'elite' football these days, I generally feel a sense of indifference to most England games, so hardly surprising the players can't be bothered with the international equivalent of the EFL trophy.

Poor at the Euros and subbed 5 times in his last 6 England games and copping a couple of yellows. 3 goals one a pen. Out come the closet Spuds fans.

He wasn't at his best during the Euros but I think a large part of that was through carrying a back injury that impacted his mobility.
He's still the best we've got though for me. I actually thought we had a winter break these days too but it appears it was cancelled in favour of a 2 week longer summer.

Kane set to start on the bench tonight. Watkins to be given his opportunity in an experimental line up. Not as if Harry has anything to prove is it, not to most people anyway.

The biggest problem for me with this round of games is that Carsley is still in charge. Tuchel was appointed, at least have him involved in the matches and selection of players. Have him involved with the training camp. Its a farce. Some of those players Carsley has selected probably won't find their way back into an England squad when Tuchel does take control.
