Despite the big gap between teams and we’ve caught 🔥 I think it will be a familiar story of us struggling to break down a packed defence when we control most of the game.
May not be a pretty watch again but hopefully we’ll edge it by 1 goal within 90 mins.

With no replays now, penalty shoot outs on Saturday afternoons would feel a bit strange compared to their usual late night midweek home.

Pretty much strongest XI we could put out bar Andrew. Hopefully, get in front and manage the game out with all the outfield subs finishing the game if cup substitutions rules allow it.

Monk said in the press conference that Loft wouldn't be involved today. He has a dead leg in an unusual place & we're just waiting for the swelling to go down so he doesn't feel it when he runs. Could have put him in the squad today but didn't see the point risking it, should be back to normal in another couple of days.

O'Riordan not having permission to play is interesting (especially given Monk said all the loan players were available to play). Strongly suspect that's hinting at a Jan recall (and probably sent out somewhere else). Or at the very least, they want to keep the option open.
