Feel like we could be low on numbers again? Andrew out, Jubes maybe? Loft a perennial question mark, Lavery to soon.
It will be more competitive than last year for sure.

Really wish that Lavery was fit for this one. They’re incredibly vulnerable at the back, I’m just not convinced we have the quality needed up front to exploit that fully. We will be competitive though and hopefully the confidence gained from recent results can help us get something.

At least we can go there with a genuine chance. They're clearly not the force they've been for the past couple of years.
It's a real shame we might be light at the back as another strong defensive display is key to beating them.
The last win there was a fa cup tie in the early/mid 90's iirc. I was there and it was one of my first away games. Mega stuff.

Just taken a glance at their forum (it's OK, I have anti-virus protection on my computer).
They have their equivalent thread already and, just to whet the appetite for Saturday, a few posts in and their fans / imbreds have already called us 'utter fucking scum' and 'piss dog whore fans'.
Thats us, that's me and that's you.
Bear that in mind for Saturday.

Why am I not surprised that these knuckledragging mongs can't even string a proper insult together?

'mong' - offensive term for individual with Down's Syndrome? Not quite, an offensive term for someone who is incredibly thick. Like B*ro fans.

What does the British slang word "mong" mean?
It’s an especially nasty word for someone with learning difficulties, based on an outdated medical term for people with Down syndrome.
The original incarnation of racial theory which arose in the 19th century divided the world into ‘caucasoid’ (white), ‘negroid’ (black) and ‘mongoloid’ (East Asian) races. Because people with Down syndrome often develop heavy epicanthic folds similar to East Asian people, the syndrome was originally referred to as ‘mongoloid idiocy’ or ‘mongoloid imbecility’, and sufferers as ‘mongoloid idiots/imbeciles’. This terminology remained in medical usage until the late 1950s.
The syndrome was referred to colloquially simply as ‘mongoloidism’ and sufferers as ‘mongoloids’. Even after the terms faded from medical usage the colloquial version continued as a pejorative, and in the late 20th/early 21st century was shortened to just ‘mong’.

Presumably the following on the club website doesn't apply to our dealings with Peterborough.
'....we seek to embed a culture where everyone engaged with the club is treated with respect and met with positivity and compassion. We are all responsible for upholding the Club’s values by ensuring others feel included and valued, championing equality, and challenging all forms of discrimination, increasing our knowledge to develop the confidence to do so.
We celebrate diversity and will proactively work with our community to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to participate.

Unable to share but on the Pish X page.. The goal that never was. Awful from the officials and beyond belief that they could get that decision so wrong.

Looking forward to this much more than I was a week ago. Full on derby game, scrappy 2-1 win. Brophy winner! Very drunk on train back to Kent. Marvelous.
