I appreciate all clubs have injuries, but this season has been particularly bad. I check here and the club social media each day half expecting to log on and find out Marvin has done a cruciate. Would that be his Antler Cruciate Ligament? Oh deer.

Would that be his Antler Cruciate Ligament? Oh deer. Caribou (can you do) any better? Or do you require some elk (help)?

Kaikai started for Sierra Leone yesterday and played 67 mins before being subbed, hopefully not due to injury. As he’s in some sort of scoring form I’d probably start him instead of Kachunga. Reyes sat on the bench for Chile last night but he’s come back from SA before and played on the Saturday before so will resume his place in goal I’ve no doubt. I’d probably have Lavery on the bench again but give him at least 30 mins, maybe 45. Depending on the score.

Team picks itself really, doesn't it. Kaikai's travel probably precludes him from starting but, bar 1 rather large aberration, the team has played reasonably as it is so don't see that much need to change it. Loft surely must be in a position to start again now, even if it's knowing he'll be off after 60 mins.

I pray loft is only on for 60 minutes before laverey comes on for him. Genuinely one of the most painful players I have ever seen.

Interesting to see what Monk does when Lavery is fit to start because surely as we paid actual £ for him, Monk saw him and Lavery as an integral part of the passing style that we’ve ditched. Now we are more direct, does he stick with Dan, who is a better footballer than Loft but doesn’t strike me as a flick on merchant for Lavery to chase. Once Loft is fitter I can see him winning aerial duels rather than holding the ball up which is what Dan is doing pretty well currently. Dan and Lavery played together for about 10 mins at Mansfield before Lavery went off. Will be good to see if there’s a good partnership in them.

The only thing that might stop Monk starting with Loft is the fact we’ll be without Nlundulu on Tuesday night, so you’d imagine Loft will definitely start that one. Think Njoku needs a bit of a breather so would expect us to go with Ryan and Dan, then worry about Tuesday when it gets here.

Njoku definitely more useful as an impact sub, he’s got the pace to cause problems later in games even he does lack that extra bit of skill.
I’d expect a 30 min rumour from Lavery, probably to replace Loft who must be ready for a good runout now.
It’s nice to finally have some options up top that’s for sure!

I’d expect a 30 min rumour from Lavery Crikey, I know he's (Northern) Irish, but that is quite the gift of the gab.
