What has the fact that I thought somebody was behaving like an idiot got to do with two simple typing mistakes?

Edited to avoid a third? You called someone an idiot for making a statement and not 'immediately backing it up,' and in so doing made a statement which was not immediately backed up...

I know what he is talking about, but I really don't see what it has to do with two typing mistakes. Seems pathetic to bring it up if you ask me.

Can you back it up though?
Immediately?

You've made a rod for your own back, Dan. Calling someone an idiot and then showing yourself to be one by your own definition.

What's wrong? Did I upset by calling your mate an idiot?

No, I'm fine thanks. Just bemused that you'd call someone an idiot in the same breath as showing yourself to be one by your own definition. That seems to have gone over your head though.

That's your assessment Russ. It's a real shame that's the way this forum now works. I said something that people disagreed with, fair enough, but then it gets dragged onto other threads by childish comments. It's things like that that stop people from posting on here, which is to the detriment of this forum.

That was to Chris not you.

It's not just my assessment, it's a self-evident truth. In the very same post that you called someone an idiot, you did something that made you an idiot by your own definition.
I don't see too many people complaining about 'how the forum works', but I'd guess that not many would say that being called an idiot is likely to encourage them to post more.

To think that people would be bored of reading about wild transfer rumours???!?!?? Russ - any chance you could set up a thread purely for arguing amongst ourselves ha ha For what its worth, I think that Russell would of signed by now if he hadn't had any offers, so he must have one at least.

Feel free to argue on any thread you like!
Just see if you can make your point without resorting to name-calling...

What's wrong? Did I upset by calling your mate an idiot? No. Dave's big enough and ugly enough to look after himself. I call him much worse on a daily basis. I said something that people disagreed with, fair enough, but then it gets dragged onto other threads by childish comments. You mean like calling people an idiot? It's things like that that stop people from posting on here, which is to the detriment of this forum. Such as calling people idiots?

What I said was just my opinion. Dave's opinion was based on something he had read which depending on how you read it made a allegation against somebody. So in that case I felt he was an idiot for saying it without backing it up. I'm not saying that all opinions should be backed up. He has now, I believe, slightly changed what he said which now is more about business decisions made. If that was what he first said I would not have called him an idiot. Can that now be an end to it Russ, you may not agree with me but I can't see that point of going over and over it.
