Went to Széchenyi, highly recommended. Watching the sunset behind that building while sitting outside in a thermal bath with the air temperature around 2˚c was a wonderful moment.

I am back. Haha. It was a great place, really enjoyed it.
Some places you go to and you remember bits you went to see or things you did. With Budapest, for some reason I just enjoyed it generally. It wasn't about 'Tourist Attraction A' or 'Tourist Attraction B' - the whole feel of the place was good.
I'd recommend just going to Budapest. Don't worry about what you do when you get there, you'll figure it out.
Next up is Slovenia for some adventure-type stuff in June.
Anyone been? It looks fantastic.

I'm off to Phnom Penh in Cambodia in the Easter hols. There seems to be a well traveled bunch on here. Having only really done the European package type holidays before this is certainly new ground for me!
Any advice, anyone been or have any tips on what to see or do while there? My plan at the moment is to get there and just wing it to be honest. My first destination is Sihanoukville from the airport but no plans beyond the first night and day there.

Its been a decade since I travelled in Cambodia - so not current - theres a Us fan around though - Cambodia Stu (name kinda gives it away) - the one thing I would say is dont do the Killing Fields / S-21 Tuol Sleng first thing - try to get a handle on the country first. Couple of nice little places on the cost Kep and Kampot.

Yep, one of my favourite places. Very much a place to be with a loved one.
It's known as the Venice of the North and is worthy of it, and although the picturesque canal area is relatively small, the rest of the place is lovely too.
Take a deep breath though when paying the bill in the restaurants that perimeter the main square - they charge like a wounded rhinoceros and apart from the ambience are nothing particularly special.
Remember to try a Trappist Triple beer which is magnificent - just one though, it costs an arm and a leg but is worth it, and at around 9% one is enough anyway !

Bruges. Pubs with beer menus and waitresses. Each beer with it's own unique glass... Great evenings...

Anyone been to Gdansk? I'm off there in July with a few mates and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I'm a sight-see-er but my mates aren't particularly. I know the nightlife is meant to be decent and it's dirt cheap.
