Not cufc related so didn't feel the need for [SACKED].. but do feel sorry for Hodgson, not for Liverpool though. Really don't think they're going to do much better with Dalglish in charge, and wouldn't be surprised to see mid table for liverpool this season.
Would like to see Hodgson be able to get his career back on track, and if Hughes doesn't pick it up at Fulham, wouldn't be surprised to see Hodgson back there soon enough

Al Fayed won't sack Hughes yet

Strikes me that Dalgleish has been coveting that role for some time now - it all smells a little underhandish to me.
On the plus side - I quite like Woy so at least now I can laugh at Liverpool falling flat on their faces without feeling a tinge of sympathy for manager.

liverpool have been going downhill badly for the last 4 years, just surprised a genuine football bloke like Hodgson took it on in the first place. Good luck Roy you deserve better.

Completely agree, I think Roy's been fairly unlucky - he was prevented from signing any decent players by the old owners, so he was left with a really bad team who wouldn't play for him, at least in part from the spiralling negativity towards him created by their deluded fans.
I look forward to seeing 'King Kenny' win his first game, be hailed as the saviour (with, of course, Liverpool having 'turned the corner'), only to lose his next three. Hopefully.

Good manager that inherited a team of bad players.
Should have been given until the end of the year at least.

Well that's good and bad, Liverpool really didn't deserve Roy there to be honest.
Like Andrew said, now at least we can laugh at that horrible club without any sympathy for anyone.

I think he's a great manager but was a bit out of his depth at Liverpool. The fans never took to him and in a results based business, his results were woeful. He'll be back in the Prem League soon, West Ham will be needing a new manager soon!

Chances are the Board will allow King Kenny to spend a few quid now he has taken over. Shame they didn't allow Woy the same luxury, he has been shabbily dealt with by the scousers.

How long till Liverpool realise that Benitez screwed them over and it's the players not the managers to blame. Benitez is a truly shocking manager

Did you see thing about the liverpool fan who went on their message board and compared having hodgson as manager to the Hillsborugh tragedy? Truly sickening. "A footballing tragedy. A human tragedy I wasn’t fortunate enough to be following the shirts on that fateful day in 1989, but I’ve often fantasised about it. Being caught up in it all. My family being caught up in it. It’s given me nightmares. I’ve had sleepless nights. I never thought I would have an experience like it. Infact, I prayed to God that I wouldn’t. But now I have. It’s here. Roy Hodgson is my generation’s tragedy. Our Hillsborough. He is our South Yorkshire police. We need to get Hodgson out of our club. He is a tragedy for our club that ranks right up there, or greater than any tragedy we have ever experienced. This time, though, we can do something about it. We have the power. Not them. Not the media. Not the police. Not the politicians. Us. Scousers. Supporters. We all need to get on Twitter and message John Henry ( john_W_Henry) and tell him how we feel. Tell him that he is the only man capable of performing chemo on our cancer. Maybe then, if we all stand up, we won’t be telling our grandchildren of our great tragedy in 2011" Even by Liverpool's fan's standards that bad. Unsurprisingly it got deleted but the bloke didn't even realise what he'd done wrong. Oh dear.
