What do you mean not turn up. Wembley is not a frequent venue for us so make the most of it and bring your friends.

Moneys attitude to the final is that its unimportant compared to the playoffs. With a relaxed attitude, this will relax the players as both are interlinked. Gosport are an inferior team, and a relaxed but motivated team could post a record score that will never be beaten. I can just imagine it......Cambridge United 12 Gosport 0. In the Wembley record books. Forever. No one will beat that or close to it. I wouldn't go getting carried away. Cock this one up and it will be one of the biggest embarassments in our history. Fortunately this is Money and not Ling, I doubt he'll be assuming the easy ride some of the fans are.

Don't make a mistake. There is never an easy game at Wembley.

In terms of there being a good atmosphere on the day, it's also worth noting that for Gosport this is probably the biggest match in their existence. I experienced something similar last year when my home town Tunbridge Wells got through to the final of the FA Vase and about 3/4's of the population of the town turned up, including many who would never even have thought of attending a football match before. Decent chance they will bring more than us. But should make it more of an occasion if they turn up in numbers. Kentish Except that Gosport is a small town football club, recently promoted, 20 minutes from Portsmouth and 20 minutes from Southampton. Their catchment area will be massively affected by that. What are the closest 'decent' clubs to Tunbridge Wells? Gillingham and Crawley? Both 45 minutes away? Either of those seen a sniff of top-flight quality stadiums lately? There's just one professional team in the whole of Kent, and they were playing in League 2 last year. That's a massive catchment area in comparison. We can assume that a few Cambridge fans won't see the point in going; and we can assume that some won't be able to afford both and will opt for the play-off final... on the assumption we get there. That will definitely reduce our numbers somewhat, but I don't think there's even half a chance they'll take more than us.

If anybody is thinking of organising a coach to Wembley then the Green Man pub in Dagmar avenue (5-10 mins walk from the stadium) is available for parking for free rather than £65 at the stadium. 14 coach spaces available also food and large beer garden. This will be a Cambridge United fans only venue. To book contact Rod Alcorn on 07930 939370 www.thegreenmanhotelatwembley.co.uk.

It says on the Gosport website that they and CUFC are meeting at Wembley on Thursday to sort out tickets, and presumably dressing rooms, kit colours etc and that nothing will happen until after then. I note we haven't put that information on our website yet to save the phone calls going in on Monday morning enquiring for tickets.

I understand we don't want 100 separate threads on the Trophy Final but I feel having one thread is slightly too far the other way.

A thought if Tuesday is cancelled; lets my pinch some turf from Wembley and drop it off at Braintree on the way home. And don't knock the day trippers, some will be travelling from all over the UK and beyond. Just because they don't turn up every week does not mean that they are not true fans.

The FA make me laugh really £30 a ticket it should be no more than £20 then you get 20k+ rather than 15-16 total shame they dont see the bigger picture.

I think they get really arsy about flags at Wembley too. Unless it's 6 inch by 6 inch, laminated with puffy edges then they don't let them in. Plus i recall you had to 'book' it in at one of the Play-Off Finals. Silly. We got ours in with no trouble against Torquay, whilst it's not as big as yours but it's still a fair size(don't know the exact measurement) so I'm hoping for the same outcome. Flag sizes at Wembley are actually quite generous now (bigger than they used to be when the 'new' wembley first opened) at 2.50m maximum dimension, clause 26. www.wembleystadium.com/TheStadium/StadiumGuide/RulesnRegulations

I'll decide nearer the time whether i can be arsed taking mine. It'll be a pain lugging it down to London via the train/tube/on foot and in the pub only to find they won't/i can't put it anywhere.
