It's interesting we moan when politicians seem not interested in the club. The club will be involved in a big discussion on a political level (the ground redevelopment and sporting village) and we have a politician wanting to use our facilities and we moan. I don't remember people wanting to " kick politics out of football" when Richard cabon interfered.

Discriminate against LGBT community, burn bonfires to rile up Catholics (they would say Papists) , demand sports and businesses close on Sundays and believe the earth is 6,000 years old.
The DUP believe they are good Christians when they are just full of hate.
Maybe some will think the DUP can show good governance. They wasted a collasal 400 millions pounds upwards on the cash for ash scandal with collapsed the Northern Ireland executive. DUP leader Arlene Foster refused to resign over the waste of money
I followed the newspapers and the articles about Corbyn and republicans. Yet now the DUP which are backed by the UDA and UVF get into power?
The media warned about terrorist sympathisers and now got exactly that
Next month in Ulster is marching season and that hate filled chant about Papists will be louder than ever, sigh

Quote of the day:
John Pienaar, BBC news.
"The Prime Minister looks like a woman strapped into an ejector seat with 100 Tory MP's fingers' hovering over the eject button".
Can understand the lefties loving this. Going to be interesting watching this unfold from both sides.

For the good of her party she needs to resign immediately. Hopefully she doesn't because the Tories are fissile under her and the Labour party is doing a great job of highlighting continued Tory weakness and desperation through their own show of strength and unity. Stark contrast to the hostility and negativity of the Tory campaign.
Under a new leader the Tories can only be stronger, IMO. They will have learned from the mistakes of this campaign and from the arrogance shown by the prime minister. I'm pretty sure they'll not make the same mistakes again.

George Osborne's description of her as a "Dead woman walking" was a bit below the belt I thought. I know she ruthlessly dismissed him as Chancellor when she took power, but even so! Definitely a case of be careful who you upset on the way up the ladder!

LESS popular than Theresa May! Blimey.
Still, I think a bit of campaigning that isn't arrogant and robotic, doesn't treat the electorate as stupid, and doesn't rely on the billionaire owned mates in the press to spread hate and lies should help soften the jagged edges of May or whomever challenges her leadership - though why the Tories would change the habit of a lifetime is anybodies guess. Popularity is pretty cylical though, it was only a few months ago Corby was seen as a limp lefty after all.
The Tories really can't run a worse campaign next time, whenever that may be, can they!?. Corbyn and Labour will be stronger and better prepared too of course..

Any Tory with a chance of winning will always be supported by their billionaire foreign domiciled mates who own the print media. If of course they were convinced that Labour were about to win the story would be different

Surprised nobody has mentioned the DUP deal on here today. In my view as a changable voter, its a disgrace that the Conservatives have spent English, Welsh and Scotish money to buy Northern Ireland votes.
In my view it demonstrates a new low for the Conservative party and has just contributed to pushing up the EU brexit bill as a result. Hopefully it will come back and bite the Conservatves in the same way it did when the Lib-Dems joined the coalition.

It's an act of sheer desperation.
Of course, former tories, other tories, and tory rags (including the Mail and Telegraph) have all openly criticised May in recent days, so they know it, too.
I'll be very surprised if she lasts to conclude EU negotiations, that's for sure.
