This coming from the man who thought Project Big Picture was a great idea. Slimy fucker, wouldn't trust him if he said the sky was blue.
Keep boycotting.

The fact it keeps getting discussed is an indication that it’s not out of mind…
The 2k against Spurs children will have blood on their hands when it happens.

It's all pretty non-negotiable for me - I will never watch Cambridge in a competition involving B-Teams.
Glad to see Parry say it won't happen, but as he says himself both Dyke and Clarke tried it previously so even assuming Parry is genuine, even assuming he can't be pressured, or bribed, or otherwise corrupted it seems pretty obvious it's likely to have support again in the future.
The comments change nothing for me.

Just had a listen to the UTAS pod with Ian Mather and although he kept asserting that the U21 teams are not a stalking horse for Prem B teams in the league he never actually stated why he thought that or what that assertion is based on. Just kept listing all the advantages for Utd of the pizza trophy.
Not having a go at him by any means as he's clearly a decent bloke doing a great job in extremely difficult circumstances. Just didn't find any of it particularly reassuring...

I agree with Ian's point that the way in which Premier League teams are most likely to leverage B Teams in the EFL is by throwing cash at lower League clubs, but I thought he was a bit naive to suggest the EFL Trophy isn't a stalking horse.
If nothing else, the precedent that has been set can be used as a way of justifying it to fans/other clubs in future.
I'll continue to boycott. To make the point re: B teams in the EFL, but also because I have no interest in us competing in a competition with B teams. It belittles our club.
Anyway, thanks to Julian Roberts and Ian Mather for giving up the time to discuss the issue and to do so eloquently.
Worth listening to the UTAS pod regularly by the way - always good content.

Pretty disgraceful from the chap who was interviewed, especially if he's one of the decision makers. Refused to acknowledge the facts of the matter, and seemed keen on us being smashed up the arse by B-teams. Absolute joker.

Like Andrew I will never watch the U's again (after 50 years) if B teams enter the Football League. End of!

Given we are seemingly letting Corr manage these games, how long before the EFL fine us for using an inexperienced manager like they would if we dared use an inexperienced squad.

Who cares. Never actively want us to lose, so a brave defeat on penalties tomorrow would be good.

Corr seems like a pretty relaxed speaker. A few of those questions pretty much answer themselves - "were you always pretty confident that the lads you've got would be able to do the business?" - but he answers them all genuinely and earnestly with a half smile on his face that suggests he's a man enjoying life.
