There's no doubting the obvious benefits of this competition such as the squad rotation/match fitness and financial gain, but the amount of money involved just highlights how much clubs like ours were bought to allow the B Teams in. There's no other justification why such a poorly supported cup competition would have such a large prize pot. Especially when compared to a relatively legitimate tournament like the League Cup.

Pleased for Knibbsy, very nearly the hero on Saturday and took his goals well tonight, he just has that knack & is unfortunate somewhat that he's had 3 strikers who can't stop scoring ahead of him the last 2 years. Hadn't heard him speak before I don't think but he came across very well, we really are a team in the image of the manager.

Great Knibbs has found some form - he’s working hard to break into the team and clearly wants to be part of it e.g. think I’m right in saying he travelled up to Crewe and took part (energetically and with a smile on his face) in the pre-match warm-up despite not making the matchday squad when many players would just sulk

Is it just me or is Dunk just getting better and better? Has he ever played this well?

Get past Rotherham and there’s a still possibility of a trip to The Emirates Stadium in the semi finals. Then Wembley!

Was it mentioned anywhere as to why O’Neil came off at HT? Hopefully not a reaction to the last few months injury.

Was always the plan according to Bonner.
He's been out for a long time.
