Don't think Liam will be suspended outside of this competition. The rules of the leasing.com trophy state;
12 On Field Discipline
12.1 The Competition is a ‘First Team Competitive Match’ for the purposes of the Football Association’s Regulations for Disciplinary Procedures. However, the automatic sanctions in relation to cautions and dismissals are treated separately under The FA Disciplinary procedures from other First Team matches.

However, the automatic sanctions in relation to cautions and dismissals are treated separately under The FA Disciplinary procedures from other First Team matches. I wonder if this competition will ever get back it's appeal? I know it's never been the most watched cup but even that appetite has been crushed by inviting the B-Teams in.
It's laughable we're still persisting with this failure of a competition really. It makes me wonder what the motivation for doing so would be, it's certainly not for the benefit of the fans or the clubs like Cambridge from what I see.

As I said earlier, this is not a real first team game, and more akin to a friendly. |
