Is there a particular reason for the change?
I can see why the old badge with the book was changed as we have no link with the universities.

I love playing around with this kind if thing! I'm not sure how you get 'Cambridge United' AND 'United In Endeavour' on a badge though... Reduce font of CU, make it say CUFC, then United in Endeavour in the banner underneath. That's what I would do, although without seeing it, I appreciate it might look crap!

Favourite CUFC match: vs Leicester C (H) 1982. Without that...?

Right, this is the last one! As has been mentioned above I'm only a hobbyist, but I wanted to have a look to see what a slightly modified current badge might look like. I'm knocking this stuff out in between dinner and watering the garden so apologies that the 'United in Endeavour' lettering is very clunky, but it's just a rough look.

I have mixed feelings about this. Normally I’m a traditionalist when it comes to club badges but ours (a) doesn’t have much history and (b) looks like a kid designed it for a GCSE project.
We could do a lot better.
I’m personally a fan of using the Abbey United badge, maybe slightly adapted.

Is there a particular reason for the change? I can see why the old badge with the book was changed as we have no link with the universities. Best badges are when you know who the teams are without any initial letters - like West Ham, Wolves or Brighton. A C and a U is utter drek.

Brighton's is decent, the other two are absolutely horrendous and definitely worse than what we have. If West Ham's is so easily recognisable, why did they need to write West Ham, London on it? Since Wolves moved from the three wolves to the single head it has looked incredibly tacky and American, which I guess suits the league they play in!
