Fej has made a 3 minute and a 12 minute sub appearance since his injury. How can you possibly conclude he should be written off based on that? I'd agree that we can't keep him next season, but I think if he's actually fit enough he deserves a place ahead of Bonne easily for what's left of this season, and possibly ahead of Taylor too. Actually thought he did well when he has come on, at least the ball sticks when it’s punted in his direction. No way I would get rid of him for next season unless our budget is shot to pieces.

There is quite a few players who I really can’t work out whether Monk will keep/release. Fairly confident which way he’ll go regarding Okenabirhie though.

It's Monk's job to decide these things. One of a manager's toughest tasks. I have confidence, given his experience, he'll make the right decisions.

If Fej could stay fit for a season he’d well worth keeping, I reckon he’s got 20 goals in him. It’s a very big if though.

Shame as there’s a L1 goal scorer if a club can perform medical miracles and get 35 games a season out of him. I’m sure someone in the league will take a chance on him though.

Release as soon as possible. He's had 2 full seasons & managed 37 games (most of them off the bench)
Nothing will change, he's a broken man

He's got a decent goals return for minutes played but not for me. I wouldn't have taken him a second season tbh so a third would be very frustrating.
Good player so it's a shame. Must be awful to know you have the ability to perform at this level but not the body to withstand it.
I can see him getting a Tranmere level move. Someone who'll expect to be top 7. Maybe a Chesterfield.

Probably unlucky not to get a point, but for all our attacking effort in the second half we just couldn’t seem to get a shot away. I don’t know if Bonne was just unlucky that the ball never seemed to drop in time, or if he’s just slow, but I agree with others who have said that he just doesn’t seem up to it at this level. Otherwise, I think it’s harsh on Rossi to partly blame him for the goal. It was a poor header, but it was on the edge of their area. Plenty more had to go wrong, and Mannion’s hara kiri charge didn’t help. Rossi was outstanding yesterday. Some backhanded compliments about Cousins from some correspondents too: very good without the ball, not so good with it. OK he wasn’t Zidane, but I thought he did great in every aspect of his game. What pleased me about the last twenty minutes was that the U’s won every 50:50. If only we could do that all the time. Inconsistency, eh?

Bonne's chance in the first-half really should have been taken. It looked bad at the time and even worse in the highlights.

Exactly, hence saying it's still very defendable and in no way should end up with an opposition player having an open goal from 25 yards. Mannion's the main culprit but Rossi is partly to blame for it. Doesn't take (much) away from an otherwise excellent performance (second half especially) from him.

I won't add much to what's already been said but i'd point out that Cousins has far more blame on him for the goal than Rossi. Which is a shame because he's been much better of late but this is a great example of why we cannot keep him next year
When Rossi battles for a ball there's almost 100 yards between that incident and the goal. It's unfortunate and a bit inexperienced but nobody's moaning or remembering it as an error if it doesn't result in a goal.
The player i'm blaming here is Cousins, when Rossi heads it he's 10-15 yards away and next to the assister. He backs off for 30 yards before putting a half assed attempted tackle after the player's already picked his pass out. Obviously Will rushing out doesn't help and that's just as big an error but when it comes to a keeper you've always got to look at what's caused the error
Either way we're one game closer to releasing half of them so thank Christ because it can't come soon enough.
