After the prematch press conference it feels like Taylor will be selected in the squad. Nothing I heard from Monk suggests he will drop the player.
All I care about is whoever is on the pitch gets us over the line.

I've placed my safety bet
10/1 on united being relegated
I'm going to drown my sorrows in a big way if we go down.
Worked last few years. Havnt been paid out yet

Wonder what sort of line up Vale will go for? Moore only just into a long contract so very likely he’s there next season. Could he ‘do a Pish’ and play fringe and squad players to get a good look at all players for next season or play his strongest 11 citing league integrity and making the players who’ve sent them down face the home fans who seen mostly god awful performances from them.

1100 tickets sold now which is another good effort. I can't go due to commitments later in the day but given I've not seen us win away all year perhaps its just as well I can't!!

That is a cracking effort, will have a feel of Burton away last season I imagine too (hopefully with a better result this time mind!) I've decided to not go having realised I don't even need to 'hop abroad' to watch the game tomorrow so will watch from the confines of my home with beers at the ready.

Suspect they'll focus on players who'll be there next season. They have a few good youngsters too, including the wonderfully named & very talented Baylee Dipepa, who I imagine will get a run-out as a way of gesturing to the future. In all honesty though it doesn't matter what team they put out or how motivated they are. This is a team that is relegated & is 7 points behind us in a season where you'd probably say we've underperformed by at least 5 points. We're good enough to beat them even at their best. We just need to make sure we get ourselves right.

Go for the win and we should be ok, play not to lose and we easily could. I think both Cheltenham and Burton will win. We have a good recent record playing relegated teams on the last day and winning...FGR and Grimbo come to mind so omens are good.

Most weekends the bottom sides don't all win and there was a stat on one of the podcasts saying that Vale, Cheltenham & Burton have not all won on the same weekend this season I believe. I think that one of Burton & Cheltenham will slip up. Pressure is all on Cheltenham as its win or bust. Burton may have to go for it as well as a draw may not be good enough for them. We just need to take care of our own business and get the job done. By this time tomorrow it will be tears of joy or sorrow!

Quietly confident we will be a league one team this time tomorrow. This will be my fourth trip to that bloody place and I haven’t seen us score yet (Knibbs somehow missed with a header from 2 yards out on my last visit, Hammered 5-0 under Beckx2 when a young me made my first trip)
Dreadful current away record overall for me too.. but I won’t depress myself worrying about that. I think we will win and I also think the other 2 will be in for really tough matches. A must win game at Stevenage is as tough as it gets. Just be glad when it’s all over, one way or another.

The 5-0 hammering under Beck II was also my first trip to Vale. I would've been 16 or 17 and couldn't drive - got a lift with Sooty of all people. It wasn't in a limo. Lifetime ago now.

Anyone else glad that in 24 hours this'll all be over. It's been a while since I've mentally checked out on a season so much. Ready for a break.

Sorry guys, but it's not going to be any less stressful in 12 months when we go into the final day just needing a point to wrap up both promotion and the League One title. Sometimes great, sometimes awful, but being a U's fan is never dull. Apart from under Calderwood.
