Hasn’t really happened for Luke Berry yet, has it? 😳 Still, I’m sure he will take promotion over mid table. Hes been our most influential player and is the main reason we are where we are. Probably the most technically gifted and hard working player i have seen at luton for many years. Definitely sounds like Luke Berry last season as well - a player you can organise a team and tactics around but it didn't prevent Derry trying to marginalise his influence and make him play dull football

Derry moved him forward and got the best out of him.

Hmmm...I felt Dosh had him playing as a box to box midfielder with Champion as the defensive midfielder - during the conference years anyway. I think he may have played him as the more defensive partner on occasion after he returned and Keane had turned to shite, but he only really had him back for 2 months so I don't think it happened that often, did it?
I guess it's no dafter than Derry playing him wide left in a narrow midfield. It always seemed to negate his influence when he did so.
Derry certainly found a side to him I didn't realise he had, though. I saw Berry has an unrelenting box to box type with a touch of velvet who makes his team flow and dictates tempo...I didn't imagine he would be effective playing behind the striker.
Great player. I adore Luke.

Pigott to Wimbledon confirmed. They've paid money for him. I've just seen this and had to re-read the article just to make sure and they're in league one as well, football gone mad again!

They should have signed Dunn instead.

They should have signed Dunn instead. Ha. I wonder how that useless waste of space is getting on in non-league hell.

Will Norris has finally conceded a goal for Wolves... Just seen the goal. Will blameless! Lousy defending, so he must have felt like he was back with us!

He's also been up to his old tricks of flapping at crosses, and letting shots go through him recently.
What on Earth were we ever thinking with signing him?

Who knows how thoroughly we scouted him but he came with decent enough pedigree. Almost 100 appearances for The Cobblers at this level and the one above, before moving to Coventry and then Yeovil and making a handful of appearances in the championship. He was shite for us obviously (Man Utd at home excepted I guess) and it’s hard to believe he was our No.1 for over a year, but you can also see why he might have looked a decent option on paper. We also have no idea what other options were available to us at the time.

Yeah, signing him in the first place wasn’t the problem, but Money sticking with him (and Beasant) over Norris is the baffling thing.
