Pens. Not sure how we've not won that. Much the better side and created so much more than Forest. Cool heads on lads.

Unlucky lads. Sounds like we were the better team and the future is bright. I see the Forest keeper took the last penalty. One of my favourite sights in football, that.

Very unlucky by the sounds of it! A shame but a great run. Hopefully we’ll be safe with 3 or 4 games to go and give the best of this bunch a run out in the first team.

Very, very unlucky. United were comfortably the better side. Barton was outstanding on the right wing, particularly in normal time - Forest couldn’t handle his pace. You can see why Yearn and McConnell have made the first team bench and, whilst we didn’t score from their set pieces, they posed more of a threat than we’ve seen from the first team of late. The penalty miss (which hit the bar) was just one of those things - fine margins and all that. Forest’s best player was probably the guy who got sent off - although he tired, he found lots of space but didn’t always make the best use of it. An enjoyable game, even if the result was a case of floodlight robbery.

Gutted for them tonight. Bossed that throughout and very unlucky to go out in such a cruel way.

Kai Young- must be close to getting some 1st team minutes...
George Hoddle- Does he have potential to breakthrough?

I was also impressed by Akanbi, he won more headers tonight than Sam Smith has managed in the last 3 matches. Barton looked really dangerous in the first half and Yearn should really have scored near the end.
The future looks really bright.

As always, a really good watch was that. Several of this bunch look to have the potential to have a future in pro football. Development can be unpredictable at best but can easily see 4 or 5 of these lads progressing. We had 2 really good chances with 1 on 1's for Njoku and Yearn. One which drifted past the post and the other denied by the keeper, who was Forest's man of the match with a couple of other decent saves from Yearn free kicks.
Really hope we can introduce a couple of these lads into the first team by the end of the season.

The problem is going to be who do you offer pro contracts . Could have won 3- nil last night outplayed them . Forest Gk was their man of the match.

I guess the link up with St Neots gives us an opportunity to look at a few for a bit longer if we need too - as we're doing with Chadwick, Cowling and Richard-Noel.
I suspect we would see at least four offered pro-contracts of that side. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a few more (some of the lads looked younger though so probably have another year🤷🏻♂️)

George huddle is related to Glenn I see, in a similar mould? Not seen George play.

The lad on the RW (barton i think) was a really bright spark throughout the match. Forest no4 did a good job of marking Yearn out the game for large spells and so Yearn and Barton were swapped which seemed to help. Definitely had the better of the opportunities and a shame to see us go out.
Good to see so many first team players, all the first team staff and Mr Barry in attendance as well.

No, he's more a defensive midfield type. Looks decent to me but nothing like Glenn.

Yeah, Barton. The number 20.
He's one I assumed was a bit younger than the rest. Absolutely rapid and incredibly direct.

How was Our Josh on the summary btw? Must admit I would much rather hear the views of an ex-player so I hope it's something he can do again one day.
