I'd be really surprised if Yearn didn't stay at Chelmsford & only possibly get recalled for the final few games of the season if we're safe (or left there if they're if they have something to play for).
Bennett will be back for sure though.

You'd imagine Kai would be back in January to boost the first team squad or would a year of 'mens' football down Chelmsford serve him better? If you're good enough youre old enough as they used to say. Big jump sure but cover for injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc. Would bring a different dimension. Benno back too. No, he should stay there for the season. He missed a lot of football after a loan fell through last year. If he came back would still be behind Digby, LON, Simper, Worman, Lankester & Okenabirhie & that means not in matchday squads. Loans are about more than football, it’s the experience you pick up that he just wouldn’t get twiddling his thumbs here. If there’s a bit of a turnover in the Summer as expected then maybe he would hope to part of next years first team squad.

Agree with that, hopefully next year will be his 'breakthrough' season and he will do a Simper!

I'm looking forward to seeing how Bennett has developed in his time at Walsall. Their fans seem to universally love him.
I'd be almost tempted to leave him there for the season if he doesn't play regularly though. I don't think coming back here in January just to play back up to Williams would benefit him much...even though it'd clearly benefit us and Willo to have the extra cover.
What do we think, back as first choice right back? Move to a back three and have him as wing back? He's also played in more attacking positions on the right and at left back - all to a good standard.

He won't come back as first-choice right-back, but I'd expect him to get some games there. He'd be first-choice RWB I'd expect if/when we played 3 at the back, & I wouldn't be surprised to see him brought on on right/left midfield/wing at times either.
I think we'll try also try quite hard to keep Williams in the summer.

They appear to be significantly better at corners than the first team.

Well...yes.
I think we've scored only two from a set piece all season. It's quite rubbish really. It feels like something we've often complained about and one of the very few things that is consistently in need of improvement during the Bonnera.

I'm starting a petition to change the thread title to "FA Youth Cup" - who's with me?

'Thread of Youth' gets my vote.
I note that the Chavs have changed their colours, although I couldn't tell what the hell is going on with the vile shirt design.

It’ll be Portsmouth we face, they currently lead 6-0 with minutes to spare.
Not sure if it’ll be at Fratton Park.
NB - our kids begin defence of the Cambs Invitational Cup at Ely City next Tuesday night.
