He didn’t like Brophy busting some moves right in front of him post match at Vale. I suspect that was something to do with Bennett absolutely tearing into Brophy for the passage of play that saw Uche miss that header against Vale.

Could see him end up at Doncaster if he decides to continue playing. Would fit location wise and may have played with/under McCann at Pish.

Sounds like he's retiring from playing.

That is the most Ryan Bennett thing I've seen since he was hugged by Brophy

It does feel wonderfully on brand, doesn't it?

It does feel wonderfully on brand, doesn't it? I wonder if he sees his football career over now, or is considering a coaching role somewhere. I have a feeling he might not and will look for something outside the game.

Yeah, I'd guess he's looking for something outside the game. An absolute professional but gloriously dispassionate about the game...which I think is both admirable and refreshing.

I could see him as a secondary school PE teacher. He’d be pretty hot on pupils PE kit dress codes. Shirts tucked in or detention.

Surely you’ve all seen the clips of him singing that surfaced a few years ago?

Ryan’s LinkedIn suggests he’s been doing an EFL diploma in sports directorship, so perhaps a job in the game as DoF in the future?
