Starting 11?
Go on then...
Mannion Bennett Rossi Bennett Dunk Thomas Cousins Brophy Lankester KaiKai Adhame
That wasn't easy.... a lot more competition for places this season. Exciting times ahead.

Rossi has played 45 minutes of football. Would be crazy to start him.

Looking forward to this one, still feel they’ll be some more additions before this game but can we assume that with less preparation/together time whoever we sign now won’t be starting next Saturday?

Why is the date in the title? This is different...
Anyway, packed Abbey, 2-0 win, Feji and Lennett to score

Stevens Lennett Morrison Rennett Andrew Digby Thomas Kaikai Lankester Brophy Okenabirhie I think spot on, although would go Dunk for Andrew.

I'd be surprised if Brophy doesn't start. He's someone Bonner can completely trust and has goood understanding of the discipline, workrate and tactical awareness Bonner requires in that position. Cracking player.
I think Stevens was signed to be first choice so I'll be surprised if he doesn't start too. Mannion'll provide good cover though, as others have said he rarely lets us down when called upon.
I wouldn't be at all shocked if Fejiri played through the middle with Ahadme on the bench. I'm expecting it to be Gassan though.
No idea about the midfield two. Any combination of Digby, Cousins, Thomas and May (when fit) feels like it should work (maybe Thomas and May less so). No shade on Simper there, I think he's a good player too. The numbers are the same as last year but I feel like we've got variety that we didn't have last season.
One evolution in our play from last year is that we don't have that aggresive pressing number 10 Knibbs type. Although I think it had it's moments I definitely prefer the creativity of Lankester or Thomas...Or May who could definitely play there too. I prefered Knibbs aggresiom out wide too. My preference is Lankester for number 10, it feels like a big season ahead for him in that position.
Hopefully Kaikai gets a good 75-90 minutes against Barnet on Saturday. He's an obvious starter if he has a good one. Probably on the left with Brophy on the right, it seems like Bonner likes the inverted winger thing these days (Miller played on the left as a right footer when he came on the other day for example)
Rossi will have his time but it's not against Oxford on the back of being injured since December. Tuesday was his first football since then, I think.
All subject to change depending on who we sign and when...and all such positivity is subject to be complete and utter b*llocks when the reality of the season gets underway too, but if you can't froth with excitement with a week to go then you're following the wrong sport, I think.
💛🖤

Rossi has played 45 minutes of football. Would be crazy to start him. Yeh probably right. But I wouldn't be surprised if he's first choice by the end of the season, alongside Rennett.
