Don’t know if anyone else had chance, but Charltons coverage of the game was a level above. Multiple cameras/studio half time coverage etc. Same offering wasn’t available via the Cambridge iFollow or even the highlights. Yeah, it was excellent, and even had Alan Curbishley gushing over our performance in the studio as well! A nice combination of feeling big time and "ah yeah, wondered what happened to him". On the Bomber Harris stuff, I dread to think what people would make of Churchill given he could have stopped the war earlier, genocides, his abhorrent views and actions setting off many enduring conflicts... Mental how some people think we're the good guys, even if we didn't do Guernica or whatnot.

"You’re entitled to hold and express your opinion. But so am I. And personally, I think anyone who “wouldn’t feel comfortable” referencing a man who played a significant role in the Allied victory in WWII is an absolute melt, who should seriously consider both their gratitude for the freedoms said victory brings them today, and who should consider the moral difficulties faced in making decisions about civilian casualties in the context of a brutal war."
I really didn't want to come back to this again, because this is a place to talk about the U's.
But you seem to allow me my opinion and then feel free to insult me for it. I don't need a lecture on my love for this country, which is every bit as deep as yours. Although I weep to see the state it's in right now. I also honour all those who fought Fascism.
For the record, the suffering Harris inflicted on German civilians was not a by-product of targetted attacks, it was a deliberate strategy and explicitly stated as such by Harris. It was not universally approved of at the time, even by RAF command, some of who saw it as an unecessary redirection of resources and an ineffective policy. There are very good arguments to suggest that it did nothing at all to shorten the war.
If you wish to hide behind insults and to dismiss any concern about this as virtue signalling, fine. I'm not here to claim any moral high ground, only to state that, as a life-long U's supporter, I think we're better than "Bombference".
And that reaaly is that from me. There are football matches to get het up about.

The stuff you see on this forum is honestly amazing.
There wasn’t this much uproar when someone said Up the Ra was a traditional Irish greeting last week 😂😂😂

Anyone know of any good books currently out….? Gotta be better than reading this MB at the moment. There's a microgenre of Wholesome Cat Books By Japanese Authors which I wholeheartedly recommend if the messageboard gets too much. I just finished She And Her Cat, which was wonderful, and I've also read If Cats Disappeared From The World, The Guest Cat, and The Travelling Cat Chronicles. I have The Cat Who Saved Books as well. The Goodbye Cat; A Cat, A Man, And Two Women; and I Am A Cat are on my wishlist.

By Ted Steel Every club interview that Elias Kachunga includes the phrase "der Gaffer" justifies his place in the team for me.
