It's a barn. They'll never fill it.

Just a warning to anyone travelling but I have had my train from London back to Huntingdon cancelled by Thameslink this morning. No services back there after 5pm and a replacement bus from 945pm ish.
Also just realised I've started this thread - oh dear with my recent record...!!!

As long as the trains are running in the morning so we can get to the boat for 9.45, I'm good.
The evening will sort itself out!

Trains seem to be running without issues on every other route! We still have tickets remaining - over 250 on board so far!

Also just realised I've started this thread - oh dear with my recent record...!!! Well Dan IF the new manager is in the dugout by next Saturday and IF we get a decent result and performance on the day then I think your Peterborough (A) match thread starter is well and truly in the past. And happily forgotten (kinda!).

New manager bounce here we come
Will he stick with Okedina alongside Morrison or bring Rennet back in?
I guess we’ll find out the extent of Okenabirhie’s injury in the press conference tomorrow too. Hopefully not a recurrence of his previous injuries.
Stevens Lennet. Rennet. Morrison Andrew Kai Kai Digby Cousins Brophy Kachunga Ahadme

I'd be very surprised if we don't line up the same as we did against Fleetwood, Okenabirhie excepted.

I suppose as first fixtures go if you're a Millwall legend who was in charge of Gillingham a month or two ago....

The phasing out of R Bennett is quite the development. More surprising than Bonner's departure!

He'll play more games this season. No chance Morro and Okedina's fitness & form hold.
Needs to happen slowly though if we're to actually get some value out of Okedina (and Ibsen Rossi's) signings. Both into the last year of their contracts next season...

For anyone who has been to the Valley before, what is the best way to get there train wise? Am planning to get a train to Charlton from London Bridge. Any advice appreciated !

Station's only round the corner from the ground. If you're planning on doing anything pre-match though, you'd be better off making your way to Greenwich or Blackheath.

Driving to Epping, tube to Stratford and Docklands to Woolwich. About 20 min walk through Woolwich centre and alongside the Thames to the Valley. Heard the station gets quite crowded post game although trains are very frequent.

In a former working life I did a lot of work with Charlton, and was able to get to a lot of games at The Valley in their Premier League years. The train is a doddle - frequent service from London Bridge, when you get off at Charlton head down Floyd Road (right then left after leaving the platform) and turn right at the Chippy for the away end. It is a stroll of no more than 3-4 mins. Other option is tube to North Greenwich and the 486 bus which deposits you outside Charlton station. Whichever you choose, it is a really easy journey normally.
