Didn’t want him sacked… we are worse off than we were. Even if he had taken us down I would have fancied him to have got us up as other teams have done with managers. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener. I donk think Harris flipping off to Millwall after 14 games or whatever it was could have been reasonably forseen. I'm confident he would have steered us through to safety Him leaving has been a bigger disruption than Bonner I would say

I think if Bonz was still in charge we would be nearer the bottom 2 than we are the performance's were similar to tonight and he built the squad. If twit face Harris did nt leave we would stayed up easily under his dull football.I think Monk has a big job on and he is only 1 voice if I was the board I would allow him extra help asap.

I would think they would argue they have tried to sign the best players they could afford.

We were heading down with Bonner no mistake and as much as I love the man it just wasn't happening. Harris for all his ways and departures gave me a bit of belief that we'd be OK. Corr, as much as I love him for who and what he is terrified me. Monk....yeah, still to know...and understand....are we using him or is he using us...probably don't particularly care about him but I won't judge him so far on the hand he has been dealt. He's a bit of a Del Boy I think. Or MonkBoy. And his interviews are...well ...bland.

Yep, thoroughly deserved the sack, and the unfortunate aspect of that, was that Strang didn't exit with him.
This club, on the pitch at least, is in a sad spiral of decline now and has been for a while due to over-sentimentality and general mismanagement.

The policy was, let's narrow the pitch to cover up the players we've recruited shortfalls. We narrowed the pitch for the first season we came up & that season didn't go too badly...

Didn’t want him sacked… we are worse off than we were. Even if he had taken us down I would have fancied him to have got us up as other teams have done with managers. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener. I didn't want him sacked but we're where we are because of him, Strang and their recruitment policy. Really? That policy got us promoted after finishing the previous season low down and loads of good signings that paid off - Mullin, Ironside, Iredale etc... That policy then got us mid table in first season. Yes last year was poor for much of it, but we still survived in that league. This year we have not (IIRC) been in the drop zone, or if we have its for a game or two. So there has always been worse teams than us. A poor policy would see us doing a FGR last year or Carlisle this. Are we an attractive club? We dont pay much, not eithers fault. We are the same as Carlisle, Stevenage, Exeter, Cheltenham, some are doing great (like Chavs) some less so. If we go through the team, its a decent set of players: Stevens - has his critics but is a decent keeper at this level. He is often exposed and can do better for some goals but even PL keepers mess up like Ederson for the pen at weekend. Lennett - I do not believe he is the messiah unlike some, but a good player Andrew - Slow start but loads of experience and one of our better players last 2/3 months, good signing at start of season Morro - Vast experience and good defender Rennett - As Morro, we looked much better last year when he settled in. The early part of this season saw us with one of the best defensive records so thats not the case with bad policy Digby - Maybe a bit like Joe, has reached his potential but a great signing for us, maybe on his own in a defensive role with better players around him would be fine Cousins - Good on paper, experienced but just doesnt seem to be at it Brophy - I am not a fan but have appreciated what he does, some love him, some dont, but solid Lankaster - Similar to Brophy, is our only real creative spark Kachunga & KaiKai - Experienced players who can perform well The point is that most of our signings did look good when they came and made sense, they have played well at times so its hardly a Sheff Utd performance where they are poor every game. I think Bonner lost his way with the team, got stuck in a rut. While this squad would not get to playoffs with the right manager and system they would be bottom half of the table. Could we have done better? I doubt it, why would a player come here than say Charlton on double the money?

I thought we had recruited well and started the season well.
Bonner was sacked because we weren't pushing on but had settled into a low-mid table position. We have been awful up front since Ahadme/fejiri long-term injuries. Losing those two has had a much greater impact than the manager turn around.
Again, I think we would have slipped under Bonner but more because of the injuries to Ahadme and Fijiri than anything else.
Also, we look much better with George Thomas in midfield- Cousins is just soo bad.
