At this rate, he'd be an upgrade at Old Trafford...

At this rate, he'd be an upgrade at Old Trafford... That's always been true.

Hmm. Rumour from down Satanage way that Betsy has left the building. David 'Piston' Livermore will be here soon enough, either way.

"Rumour from down Satanage way that Betsy has left the building."
Sounded like a gamble (sorry), but a national quality coach. Shame if we can't make that work.

It will be very interesting to see if those rumours are true. Livermore will be in with us if that is the case and you’d probably expect Corr to be off as soon as Bonner does get another job.

Hmm. Rumour from down Satanage way that Betsy has left the building. David 'Piston' Livermore will be here soon enough, either way. Interesting. I thought Harris' talk on arrival about being happy to inherit our existing coaching team sounded a bit fanciful/a potential problem/excuse further down the road. Fair enough it's been dealt with and that road was very short.

To be fair, Betsy’s arms were veering towards “thank you and goodbye” territory during the post-match clap on Saturday. But it could be a red herring a la Knibbs last January.

I didn't realise Harris' usual assistant was Livermore. I thought he seemed to do a decent job at the sinking ship of Histon.

BetVictor – 27th Dec 2023 – 11:40amMark Hughes – 4/1 Paul Hurst – 6/1 Gary Rowett – 8/1 Mark Bonner – 10/1 Simon Wiles – 10/1 Steve Cotterill – 12/1 Scott Brown – 12/1 Brian Barry Murphy – 14/1 Michael Duff – 14/1 Gareth Ainsworth – 14/1 16/1 bar these BetVictor – 27th Dec 2023 – 3pmDean Holden – 2/1 Paul Hurst – 3/1 Paul Ince – 4/1 Mark Hughes – 8/1 Simon Wiles – 12/1 Mark Bonner – 12/1 20/1 bar these I know odds aren't likeyhood, but no chance is a bit thin. I'd expect he can have an interview if he applies. Although Dean Holden, Paul Hurst and Paul Ince shortening in odds does suggest they have been seen as interested. Anyone still in the shorter odds hadn't ruled himself out. The longer they stay quiet the longer the odds will get.

Bonner's getting a few mentions on the 'New Manager is?' thread on the Port Vale forum, with one even claiming he was interviewed today. Febrile rumours or slight/distinct possibility?
