With a new manager in charge and Okenabirhie out for several months, it’s surely going to be a busy January for the club. A striker is surely priority number 1 but what other positions do people think we could do with strengthening?
Striker wise, I wonder if there’s a L2 or even Conference player on loan from a Prem/Champ who has done OK at L2 level and maybe the parent club think, he could make the step up to L1 for the rest of the season. Someone like Michael Mellon currently banging them in for Morecambe on loan from Burnley although zero chance of him coming to us.
I also suspect we may get a lowball offer for Liam Bennett.

Right back and striker an absolute must you'd think

I think we need 2 strikers as we needed one anyway and now Fejiri is out. I think Gordon will go back to palace so one will be his replacement plus another. NH has already mentioned we need cover for Lennett so a RB will come in.
May be some later movement in and out as he decides who he wants and maybe sone who are out of favour move on. Could see Janneh loaned out again and Simper too who needs to be playing. Haunstrup could be moved on when Dunk back as well. I wonder too how Rennett takes to being on the bench for a prolonged period as well. Would like to see a creative player come in but that may depend on outgoings as well.

A striker is a certainty. We can't go through the next 10-12 weeks with only one striker.
A winger/striker type would be nice. Gordon will get his chances I'm sure but I think we can do better. Janneh is flakey and inconsistent. McConnell is excellent but probably one for next season more than this. That leaves us with just Brophy, Kaikai and Lankester for me, I think so it probably needs one more with Kachunga looking like he'll be a number 10 now.
A right back. We really, really need a back up for Lennett if Jubril is going to be first choice.
Defence is probably fine apart from that, but I'll be interested to see what happens with Jobe in January. I half wonder if we might try and move Rennett on. He'll be a high earner I'm sure so we might see if Grimsby are still interested - probably not though given Harris name checked him.
Midfield is probably fine but we might look to add numbers. I guess it could depend if Simper impresses Harris in the next few weeks.

It will be interesting to see if Harris targets former players he's managed. Obviously there are lots of caveats with that (availability, form, in favour in current teams etc.) but his managerial experience at other clubs is pretty extensive and very recent.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see May loaned out in Jan either. League 2 club, get a few games and goals under his belt before returning to us in the summer more like the Adam May we know.
Would also look to move Rennett on, can’t see a Morrison/Rennett partnership being used much (if at all) under Harris. Don’t think that would suit the style we’re trying to play.

Can't see Bennett going anywhere at this stage of the season – I'd be really surprised if we left ourselves with only 1 senior centre-back in Morrison & then Okedina, Ibsen Rossi and possibly Jobe as the other options – but you never know I suppose. He won't be here next season though, and I think that'd have been the case under Bonner too.

A proper striker and a right back as someone else says, though if we can improve on the quality of what we have with Harris contacts I’m all for it.
Suspect Simper will go, hope Janneh gets a move elsewhere & Gordon can leave us too far as I’m concerned.

By god, that's JK Gordon's music! Was thinking similar ha. I think there's a useful player in Gordon but for one reason or another we've not seen enough of it often enough. Change of manager might do him good, might not. Really wouldn't be surprised to see him end up back at Carlisle.

I’m probably in the minority but I think Gordon has something about him. Was really impressed with his first few showings, but he’s been largely anonymous in recent ones. But do think he’s one that could prosper under Harris.

Can’t afford to piss about, two strikers are a must, with one being a number 9, the other a dual role type. A right back is also a high priority. In this I’m assuming Janneh goes out on loan or is sold, and Gordon returns to Palace unless Harris can get a tune out of him.

For me he goes back and was Gassam here for the season?

He'd go back for me yeah. I think he does have something about him but unless he's one of ours I don't have the patience to find out what it is.
Loan players need to be making more of an impact for me, there's still time to do that obviously, but for now I'd not complain if he left.

Yeah, saw him play a few times for them last year and he seemed much more of a striker rather this well stocked role he's been used in. They'd have him back in a heartbeat, and there's a decent player in there, but if he stays he may end up out and out. Who knows.
