Yeah, I don't think (m)anyone is genuinely upset by it, I think I'd say even though I find it a bit cringe and performative I love that others like it. Not everything has to be for me, it would be a VERY different sport if it was. Andrew Spot on. It's mainly Post Traumatic Stress Derryorder, people are getting much more wound up by me not liking it than I actually am bothered about it.

When his Gillingham side beat us a few years ago (Tolaj played, if you remember him) I remember grumpily mumbling "Calm down mate, you only beat us ffs". Maybe it's residual bitterness from then!

Just enjoy Coconuts and let the manager enjoy his celebration with the fans. I never really liked Bonner doing the full lap of honour with the players. It’s a stupid thing not to like and I really can’t explain why I felt that way, most likely because I thought he trying too hard to be one of the lads which he didn’t need to do. Never stopped me giving him a clap as he passed by though.

Exactly. You clap and accept you're the one with the issue for thinking you can infer personality traits or intent from a fist pump or a clap. Or the way someone waves after a game. Or the way someone smiles in a signing photograph. Or an Instagram post with lyrics from an obscure 90's pop song.
Since we're all sharing though, I don't like pre-kick of huddles. It feels something being done for the television to squeeze out that last little bit of dramatic tension into am endless build up that has filtered it's way down to the 3rd division. Doesn't stop me roaring my encouragement before the game though (well, clapping politely and quietly saying 'come on lads'. This is the Habbin after all.)

I was trying to think who Harris reminds me of the other day and I think it's Uncle Albert. I'm not entirely sure I could explain why, mind. Andrew "Durin' the war..." (or was that Grandad?) Bomber Harris (Bomber Command) Pretty sure Uncle Albert was the wartime Jonas that got loads of ships sunk under him. Not that was unusual for merchant seamen. They could have done with thermal dry suits. If you didn't make it to a lifeboat the cold would kill you in a few minutes.

Harris can do the Macarena in front of us on Friday night if we get one over the Chavs. I’m just happy to see happy CUFC management and players after the final whistle.

Coconuts being played full blast after a victory with a fired up fist pumping manager in a packed Abbey Stadium,I can’t think of many things better than that!
