Really ought to be targeting 3 points for this one. Friday night lights at home against a team on an absolute horror run (worse than anything we've put together over the past 2 seasons)... what could possiblye go wrong?
Only bit of intrigue will be seeing how we decide to deal with Digby's absence. Gut feeling is May will come in & we'll save Thomas to make an impact off the bench further forward again. Otherwise, don't mess with a winning team, presuming everyone's fit.
Stevens
Bennett Okedina Morrison Andrew
May Cousins
Kaikai Kachunga Brophy
Ahadme
Wonder if we might see a return to the bench for Simper? Also does 2 red cards mean Digby's suspension is 2 games rather than 1?
This is a really good opportunity to put us properly into the mid-table buffer zone and looking up the table rather than down it with a really quite benign run of fixtures coming up throughout Jan and early Feb.

Brophy was limping like a peg leg at the end but I assume that was well earned cramp rather than anything that should keep him out of next week.
I'd expect just the enforced change though, yeah. I'd probably go for Thomas rather than May myself but suspect Harris might go for May.

I'm sure I should know this but if I do I've forgotten. Nevertheless I'll ask the stupid question: why is this match on Friday night not Saturday afternoon?

I don’t think there is an official reason but it may be to give us an extra day before playing on Boxing Day. It may be to avoid clashing with last gasp Christmas Shopping in the city but actually found the traffic a bit lighter yesterday as maybe people were avoiding the city centre

I believe that is the case. Feet up enjoying the festive cheer, without the worry about a Boxing Day gig.

Attendances on the last Saturday before Christmas are notoriously poor - normally 600-800 below par. I think moving it to Friday night is just trying something different…

Rare to see him out on his arse like that. Yeah I think I'd probably prefer Thomas too but May probably gives us a little bit more defensive cover and physicality.

Thomas is a level above May IMO so I'd prefer to see him get 90 minutes.
Doubt we'll change much. But a number of players looked knackered by the end of Blackpool so there might be some enforced rests? Gassan could barely move but we'll have to flog him game after game until we get another option in.

Stevenage and Oxford could be pretty challenging, so it would be great to get the points and maintain the positive start under Harris before we hit them.
And who better to get them against than a team that has picked up three points since mid September?

Stevenage and Oxford could be pretty challenging Yeah, although both seem to be in "wobble" territory a little bit at the moment. Our run after that though is Orient, Fleetwood, Exeter, Burton, Shrewsbury, before it gets a bit tougher again in Feb.

Assuming he plays it will be Okedina's 100th club appearance.
Only five outfield players have played more games than him without scoring. Anyone care to guess their names?
*Edit* Strictly speaking it's six but one person played as goalkeeper and full back!

Aye, they're certainly beatable, even if they're occupying lofty spots right now. I'd fancy them more after a comfy win over Exeter, but I'd take a draw from the Grecians and six points from the other two.
