I've just received this update from easyfundraising.co.uk. I'm not sure if I should be pleased on the grounds that it's money for nothing or disappointed that more people aren't involved. I happen to have used it for one or two "high value" items and 2.5% from Amazon (and others) isn't to be sniffed at.
"Good news – in the first three months of this year Cambridge Fans United raised £49.27 and will soon receive a cheque from us. That’s down to you and supporters like you choosing to make a difference by shopping with easyfundraising."
"Your account snapshot: Total raised for Cambridge Fans United by all supporters – £354.27 Total number of Cambridge Fans United supporters - 61"

If people knew where to get involved it might help? Just browsed to easyfundraising.co.uk and it just looks like spam and says the page is up for sale. Let people know where to get involved and if it's as simple as going through some sort of portal for your Amazon purchases to make money for CFU I can't see why more won't get involved. I don't even know what this is or how it helps CFU! EDIT: Just looked on the CFU site, makes more sense now. People should probably take a look here rather than easyfundraising.co.uk: www.cambridgefansunited.org/easy-fundraising.php?osCsid=fuimk8ji5vi4ljd0hcaorbvgu4

Perhaps a link could be put on this page - with the ones for Cambridge First and CN.

Because there are already lots of portals to go through when buying things to get things for yourself - Nectar points, cashback - and people generally have their own interests ahead of CFU's?

Perhaps - but you still get "cashback" on your credit card purchases (assuming that's offered by your card provider)

That's a pretty negative way of looking at it. I was referring to people like me who buy from Amazon and didn't know this existed. Given the option of going through a CFU portal and making them some money or doing it and not making them some money, which would you pick? Granted people will more often than not look after number 1, but my point was this could be better publicised and the average shopper like me might use it for the odd purchase.

I've been using this since the link was put up on the old board the Christmas before last.

Me too. Its very easy, just use the links on their website to whichever shopping site you want to use. There are loads of shopping sites to choose from, and the percentage donation for each shop is clearly shown - some better than others, but every penny counts!
